I am trying to program a key for a customers 2017 Tiguan and I am in the tight area and the instructions pop up on the bottom of the screen but the check mark is grey and it says unsupported. I am using an android device not iOS and I’m running into this problem. I don’t know what I am doing wrong or if it’s just not working properly and there’s no phone number for support or anything. Can someone walk me through this ?? I have the OBDELEVEN PRO unit and as I said it’s a 2017 Tiguan. I am in the US if this matters. Thank you in advance

I’m not 100% sure but I think on newer models only dealers can do the programming as it has to get the code from the German servers

As my colleague correctly advises, it's entirely likely that your MY17 Tiggy (NAR version) has an MQB build platform. If so, it will have a version V immobilizer In contrast to the fourth generation immobilizer, whereby there was a process whereby worshop techs were able to decide which adaptations would be made to which components of the immobilizer and in which order, the fifth generation uses the FAZIT database (vehicle information and central information tool) for immobilizer management. Unfortunately, FAZIT connection can only be made by registered VW agents - hence immo. V changes (like key programming) aren't possible by most of us mere mortals!! Don
