!!! UPDATE !!!___!!! UPDATE !!!___!!! UPDATE !!!___!!! UPDATE !!!___!!! UPDATE !!!
I just wanted to confirm everyone that the light ViĆ recommended does in fact work for 2019+
The dynamic blinkers for 2019 now work with engine off, engine on, etc!
One small tweak you'll need to make is when unlocking/locking, the duration needs to be a bit longer. Central Electrics -Acknowledgment signals -- ZV-Blinken_Hellzeit (CHANGE THIS VALUE FROM 200 - 300)
All credit goes to ViĆ for his continued assistance with me on this matter.
I hope you all enjoy your future working dynamic blinkers!

(CHANGE THIS VALUE FROM 200 - 300) Change to what? Range is 0-255. (edited) Changed to 300 didn't helped...

^^ can you show a video or explain your issue, is it with engine off or engine on or both?
changing ZV Blinken Hellzeit is only for the lock unlock signal it will not change duration when indicator stalk is used

Works fine with engine off/ignition on.cWhen engine starts, after 3-4 blinks only 2/3 of blinker is working, like in topic video.

^ Then there is no coding that I know that can fix your issue. Original poster bought another pair off indicators that I suggested on first page and with them we got it to work.

I guess your car is 2019 or 2020 model. The voltage fluctuation is a little bit different from before-2018 model. Just add a 27~33Ω resistance to either + or - in series. Mine fix it this way.
Or
Add a 12V relay. But this is big so that you need to add it in your door panel.
Or
Ask seller if they update their light. You must ask them for detail. Most of them don’t know about it.

Hi everyone, I recently installed two sets (I thought one was defective so I returned and bought another set from a different seller) of dynamic indicators and for some reason when the vehicle is off, they sweep fully but when the engine is turned on, it only does about 1/2 - 3/4 of the length. Would anyone know the cause of this? I checked for faults and did not find any. It is because of indicator is unfit for MK7.5 I bought this product. It works well. No problem. My car is MY2020 GTI TCR. a.aliexpress.com/_dSxrRZv

One thing i want to confirm that the power consumption higher than 1.8 watt? jackson: The process goes like this :
The formula for Watt=Volts x Current (electrical "current" is measured in Amperes) Measure the volts on the car with a multi-meter. For example, let's say that with the engine running - the Battery rail voltage is measured to be 13.8 Volts So for 1.8 Watts, the formula is: 1.8 Watts = 13.8 Volts x Amperes Therefore Amperes = 1.8 Watts divided by 13.8 Volts =0.13 Amperes (or, 130 Milli-amperes)
For LH drive cars, the control module for the Driver-side wing mirror (VW calls it "J386") is supplied by Fuse #25 on the C fuse-block - -see below. VW calls this fuse position "SC25"
Pull the SC25 fuse and switch the multi-meter to measure amperes Switch-on the engine to generate 13.8 Volts as previously measured Measure the electrical current flowing through SC25 with the Indicator switched off Turn-on the indicator and measure the electrical current again through SC25 The difference in readings should be about 0.13 Amperes if the indicator is consuming 1.8 Watts.
- Switch-off the engine and replace the fuse on position 25
- Scan the car with OBD11 and clear any errors that may have been generated by the proccess
Note: this process is approximate only because the voltage @ fuse 25 won't be exactly 13.8 Volts in my example (because of "volt-drop") and because the amperes that you measure with the indicators operating will vary depending on what the dynamic function is doing (I suspect).

Thanks for Don’s reply. I don’t such technique. Will try it. Normally it will show how many watt consumed on the product itself.

Guys, does anyone know if there is any way to regulate the brightness of the light under the rear view mirror (puddle light)? Thanks to anyone who can help.

fmelipin as stated in the thread, there is no coding that can change the duration for the blinker/indicator when the stalk is used. the coding only works when the lock/unlock duration for the blinker/indicator is "short" in Quantumn case he sent it back and bought a different "brand"

I did this recently when I quickly bought some of these for my new GTI.
I didn't realise there was an electrical difference between mk7 and 7.5.
It's strange yours do work with the car off, are they advertised for the 7.5?
Mine didn't work and I noticed the ad was for mk7 cars. I bought new loves that work perfectly with my car.
All of the flashing comes from the units themselves, they are plug and play as they are designed to be dynamic.
So you just need to get the ones compatible with your car.

IMG_0703.mp4 (463.39 KB)Has anyone managed to fit these dynamic indicators successfully to a Mk 7.5 GTE? I have bought a pair which are supposedly for a 7.5 Golf and they only go halfway across and also quite quickly too.

^^
I havent done it for the GTE version of MK7.5 , are you sure its for the MK7.5 and not the MK7 with the noname brands its common for them to "lie" because they only go after the shape of it which is wrong.
I would advise you to buy either the original ones or from a different seller/nonamebrand.

^^ can you show a video or explain your issue, is it with engine off or engine on or both? changing ZV Blinken Hellzeit is only for the lock unlock signal it will not change duration when indicator stalk is used Hi everyone! I'm having the reverse issue on my 2013 MK7. In my case, the dynamic blinkers only do half a sweep when locking/ unlocking the car. They work well in every other scenario (Blinkers/ hazards with the car turned off, as well as on). I've done some digging around in OBD11 and looks like I don't have the ZV-Blinken_Hellzeit option. Is there any way to code the option in, or not possible at all (maybe because it is an older model/ older modules)? If it helps, mine has the regular, non folding mirrors, but it has the ambient lighting on the doors (LED Stripe and both door handle LED's). Thanks!

I added a 33ohm/0,5W resistor in series with the positive lead of the turn signal, and that solved the problem!

Hi everyone, First of all sorry for my english. I have the same issue with my dynamic blinkers in my golf 7.5 my2019. With engine off the blinker lights the full lenght, also with hazard, but when I start the engine after 2 cicle, they start to lights up only 2/3 and very fast....I'm thinking buying another set from another store, because I'm not so expert with electronics. Do you think it's difficult for a noob as me to do this mod with the resistance? Thank you all for your support.

Only thing I regret is that I didnt do it earlier. I have bought 5 different sets with the white presentation light just to find out that they doesnt work correctly on my 2019 E-Golf.

Hi all im Joep from the netherlands. Just new to obdeleven. I program laboratory robots for a living and building drones and tuning bikes and cars is my hobby. Now i added dynamic turnsignals in my mirrors of my e-golf 2018. Works great but when reading out my car if gives an error on drivers door and passengers door. Is there some kind of setting i can change so it does not get registered as an error anynore? Thanks for the help!
