Hello, I have a NAR 2015 GTI with what I believe is mib 1.0 discover media. I have managed to code the unit to access the 'traffic programme' and RDS features, which is admittedly difficult to enable but I have finally managed it. That being said, my unit does not have a traffic button! Does anyone know of a way to access this menu without the hardware button? I have verified that the traffic information is being received through the green engineering menu.

Hi Augti
I am very afraid that if you don't have the TRAFFIC button, on the Infotainment screen, you will not be able to see the traffic announcements on the screen.
I can be wrong.
Greetings.
WHELP! All of the effort to enable traffic for no reason then! I feel like there must be a way to get to it... I know that some mib devices have an in screen menu button for traffic. It is probably some obscure long coding that I'll have to search for.

Hi augti
Yes, it would be an interesting search, although you would have to find the option (and code it, if you can), so that every time a traffic warning arrives, it will appear on the screen; regardless of whether you are with the browser, radio or multimedia.
The logical thing would be for the traffic message to appear when you are using the radio.
It sounds to me to have seen "something" similar encoding the 5F unit, it occurs to me that you look if in extended coding (5F), you have activated the,
Byte_13_Radio_Text_Plus = On
Greetings.
I do actually have this enabled already! I have not been near a city with traffic information yet with the feature enabled, but maybe once I do I will have some kind of popup dialogue. It never occured to me that traffic alerts would open by themself when received. Thanks!
