Can that be disabled or shifted to bottom. It blocks gear readout.

^^^^ hmmm........... not sure what particular "volume" you mean - but if it's volume to be replenished (i.e. the used volume of petrol in the tank) - then it's activated/deactivated by Byte 10, Bit 4 in the Dashboard module @ address hex17.

I think he means the audio volume on the mmi don, it comes up when you change the volume on the steering, mine goes across the top covering the compass, time, temp and I think speed limit, whereas on my AID the gear is in the Rev counter at the bottom, I think the MFD (not digital dash) has it top right with shift next to it so the red circle is where I get D1,D2, and the green line is where the audio line comes up on mine  |

Exactly! The sound volume level indicator totally blocks the current gear in manual mode on the screen on analog clusters.
