Hello. Can anyone tell me which Byte in 09 Central Electrics is for enabling the Ambient lighting. I have facelift 2015 Audi A6 4G with RMC sistem navigation so i need to activate it manually. For the brightness i know that channel 52 in Adaptations needs to be set. Thanks

For models without already active menu point of "Ambience Lighting" in the MMI:
MMI3G + or MIB NAVIGATION SYSTEM with touch input field 1. Select control unit 09 (vehicle electrical system) 2. Select control unit Long coding -> Function 07 3. Select byte 16 4. Activate bit 6
MMI3G Navigation plus with touch input field (= PRE-FACELIFT MODELS): 1. Select control unit 5F (information electronics) 2. Select adjustment 10 3. Set channel number 06 to 1. 4. The hidden menu can be opened with the key combination Car + Menu (both keys together), whereby as first press the car button. (Please change to System Settings in the CAR menu beforehand) 5. Activate hidden menu -> car -> cardevicelist -> Interior Light 6.Hidden menu -> car -> carmenuoperation -> Interior Light -> value on 5 7. Hidden menu -> car -> carbusassignment set the value interior light to CAN comfort Now leave the HiddenMenu again (e.g. press the radio or BACK button).
MIB Navigation plus with touch input field (= FACELIFT MODELS):
Connect the 5F information electronics control unit Select control unit 5F adaptation function 10 Now change the following adjustment channels:
Vehicle menu operation-menu_display_ambient_illumination -> Set to "activated"
Vehicle menu operation-menu_display_ambient_illumination_over_threshold_high -> Set to "activated"
Vehicle function list BAP-Gen2-interieur_light_0x08 -> Adjust to "activated"
Vehicle function list BAP-_Gen2-interieur_light_0x08_msg_bus-> Adapt to "Databus comfort"
RMC navigation (= VOR-FACELIFT + FACELIFT MODELS):
The activation of the menu item ambient lighting is only possible by parameterization using a VCP tester possible.
Connect the 5F control unit here and load the firmware proposed there with "ambient_light".
The following applies to ALL models after activation: MMI reset Press and hold the function key -1- (menu), the confirmation button -2-, and the navigation key -3- simultaneously. The MMI then shuts down and restarts. Takes about 60 seconds)
In the CAR menu, the lighting can now be configured under the item Ambient lighting

I also had to enable the ambient lighting in the long coding for each individual door. For each door, in 'byte 1' I had to set bit 0,1,3 and 4 to '1'.

Hi. I'm new and need some help.. I have a transporter 6.1 with discover media pro head unit and digital cockpit. I just want to enter the menu for ambient lighting. I have no other light colours to change on the vehicle other than the illumination colours on the infotainment system and the digital cockpit.. Any idea where I need to look? There is no app to do this with my vehicle.. Thanks in advance. Mike
