I came across a member that done a lot of tweaks using OBD11:
In terms of the function "DWA Alarmverzoegerung", I tried to enable it however I don't get the 'active' function:
Any thoughts?

Thanks. I tried that but nothing happened. When I lock the car, the alarm red LED would flash immediately which indicates no delay for "DWA Alarmverzoegerung".

^^^lordnikon: which "red LED" do you mean? Is it the "red LED" that's on the upper trim of the driver's door? If so, this LED blinking isn't related to the alarm system. Look in the manual and you will find that this "red LED" blinking is initiated after the car is locked to indicate that the SAFELOCK mechanism has activated. SAFELOCK is a kind-of deadlock which when engaged means that the internal doors locks no longer work. The blinking "red LED" is intended to warn the driver that if anyone remains in the car after the doors are locked - they won't be able to open the doors from the inside. You can deactivate SAFELOCK by pressing the close button on the fob twice Here's how to interpret the blinking of the Indicator lamp in the driver door- after the car is locked: - red LED flashes for approximately 2 seconds, firstly at short intervals and then more slowly > The SAFELOCK mechanism is activated.
- red LED flashes for approximately 2 seconds and then goes out. Then the light starts to flash again after approximately 30 seconds > The SAFELOCK mechanism is deactivated.
- red LED lights up steadily for approximately 30 seconds. > Fault in the locking system -go to a qualified workshop

Yes I was referring to the red LED on the drivers door.
When I had a MK5, the red led would stay on with a solid red when I locked the car, then after a min or so, it would start flashing at a set interval so I thought the same would apply to my MK7. Guess not.
So what exactly does “ DWA Alarmverzoegerung” really do? How do you test if it’s working?
Thanks for the explanation Don.
