Hey everyone,
I'm having a bit of hard time trying to sort ambient lighting menu out. I've managed to get it working properly without a problem (thank you vwjap for great guides), but I'm having a problem displaying the zones.
This is what I managed to achieve (note the lack of LED strips in the doors):
What it's missing are the LED strips in the doors (please note that the brightness setting for the LED strips is working nonetheless, together with the handle illumination)
I achieved this by setting the 'p_ambientelicht_verbauinformation_HMI_2' to '00000111'. Setting it to any higher value would result in menu displaying what I suppose is placeholder text for zones that are not present in the car.
From what I understand, the value of this channel represents bits for enabling/disabling display of certain lighting zones. Trying various combinations of bits I've found out that apparently bit 3 enables 'rear doors' zone and bit 4 enables the display of door strip illumination which I'm after.
Since the car in question doesn't have rear door lighting I believed the right value for this vehicle would be '00010111'. Setting it to this value did display the LED strips, but with a nasty side effect - placeholder text for 'rear doors' came up.
Value '00001111' only enables 'rear doors' placeholder text without displaying the LED strips which leads me to believe that bit 3 is connected to 'rear doors' zone.
Setting it to '00010111' would enable the display of LED door strips but with aforementioned side effect - the placeholder text for 'rear doors':
If anyone has any ideas or tips on solving this, really any help would be very appreciated! I've been going crazy over this for too long now
