Hello,i have 2016 MIB 2 with mute Button. When i press phone Button i get message "phone not available". In settings info i can see Bluetooth version. Checking car chasis on VW the car has Bluetooth and mobile phone reqdy (mic, speaker and so on installed). Can i somehow enable Bluetooth with obdeleven? I cannot acess or see any Bluetooth settings on my device except Bluetooth version. I would really like to stream music via Bluetooth and use phone function.

kreso: Bluetooth is SWAP (Software As Product) which means that it is activated with a license that is specific to the car's VIN. You can check if your MIB has the license by viewing the Facility Enable Code (FEC) in your MIB.
To do this: Long press the Menu button on the MIB escutcheon plate until service mode shows on the screen - then select Function enabling codes (FEC, SWaP)- then select Installed codes.
If 00050000 is displayed - your MIB has the required Bluetooth license

Hello,
I get 4 codes
00030000 - temporarely denied (if i click it i get show my vin with added uC on the end) 00050000 - temporarely denied (if i click it my vin with added ?T on the end) 00050000 denied ( S on end od vin, date shown before production of car) 00030000 denied (s on end of vin, date shown before production od car)
Im not sure, but the dealer i bought the car from used (VW dealer) had coded a spare New key since old one was lost in the dealership. When they did that the car gave various errors and did not start. So i waited all day until they managed to code the car properly. So i think this Bluetooth is somewhat connected to that problem. Just a guess, unfortunately i bought car 1800 km from home, no way to return there now.

That does not sound good . Can you tell me what needs to be done to have Bluetooth again? Can a VW dealer solve this only or?

Do you get a component protection error on the 5F module?

Do you get a component protection error on the 5F module? Hello, i dont get component protection error. Regarding byte 16, all is same like on your picture available, available, available, available and auto. I visited local VW dealership and they said that they need to install 000 051 473 c and Bluetooth Will work again. But it seems to me they were not sure what is the problem, since that does not seem right to me. I also visited a local guy that can enable carplay and so on, he checked it and said that he thinks that the headunit is not original and replaced or possibly the car has MIB1 and someone installed MIB2. He suggested replacing new headunit and new unit on glovebox as only solution, but that is too high price for me just to have Bluetooth in car... The saga continues...

He suggested replacing new headunit and new unit on glovebox as only solution, but that is too high price for me just to have Bluetooth in car... The saga continues... OK......... so it seems to me that something odd has happened to your car in the past. The fact that the FEC for Bluetooth is listed in your MIB but is greyed-out, suggests that the Bluetooth license is indeed in your firmware, but it is somehow not fully activated. Incidentally, the other greyed-out FEC (i.e. 00030000) is the license for AMI (USB Enable) - so the same situation persists in the hex5F module for this SWAP facility.
As to what is the cause for the problem, there can be many options - but I tend to favor the hypothesis of your "local guy" for the following reason:
When a new module that is captured within VW's Component Protection "constellation" (I love that word -which VW uses) is installed in the car, the CP error removal process has 2 x separate procedures - like this:
- The first of these procedures is to register the identity of the new
module in the encrypted list of the correct modules for the car - this is the list that the Gateway module uses for the CP interrogation process which happens at each ignition switch-on cycle (the hex19 module is the CP "master" module)
- The second procedure when removing CP is to restore the original FECs in the car so that they are re-registered with the new module.
Like the "local guy", I suspect that the MIB may have retrofitted and that when CP error was removed, the second procedure was not completed.
So- if our assumption is correct and if the subsequent CP removal process was done using the official ODIS process, all of the records for your car will be in VW's FAZIT database. ALL of the modules that are currently in your car, or the modules that were in your car from the factory will be recorded against the VIN in VW's database.
Why not simply ask your dealer for the list of factory modules for your VIN - then compare the identity of the current hex5F module against the list? This will either confirm that the CP error removal process needs to be completed correctly, or that there is another reason for the greyed-out FECs

In the end i found a guy that has Odis, acess to fazit and all. He could not do anything, the guess is the unit is bricked. In the end he installed a new glovebox unit for me, did all the coding and now everything works. The charge was fair, and i recieved better unit that has app connect.
I lost parking heater adjustment in climatronic, so if someone know how to return it back ( this video shows menu i lost ). I would Like to avoid 2 hour drive to his place again.

kreso: good outcome - clearly you found someone that knows how to remove CP correctly!!
As for your new problem, check the following 2 x adaptation channels in the hex5F module:
Car_Function_Adaptations_Gen2 menu_display_auxiliary_heating > activated menu_display_auxiliary_heating_over_threshold_high > activated

All works ok now after the suggested coding. I did not code this, as it works all ok menu_display_auxiliary_heating_over_threshold_high > activated . Can you explain me what it does?
Also im getting error in 5F, front right tweeter and rear left tweeter, as connection lost (all speakers work ok). The codes are B106813, B106413

Regarding speakers: Check Byte 4 to 7 which are defining the connected speakers. In my Golf with the plain no Fender, no Dynacord, just 8 Speakers Byte 4 is FF while 5 to 7 are 00. If set correctly, try to delete the Error and Check for firm connection of the speakers on the unit.
Found a scan of a T-Roc with only 6 Speakers, Channel 1 HT (Hochtöner->Tweeter) and Channel 4 HT are disabled (Leading to coding byte BE)
"over threshold high" means that these contents are also avaliable when the car is driving over a certain speed. Never checked out where the speedlimit is, EU cars do not have any limited features besides Video in Motion

First thing i would do is to connect the car to ODIS and let it check your car, ODIS usually knows stuff VCDS or OBDeleven doesnt.
