Hi, does anyone know how voice control is activated. Is that I receive a message that I have to go to the Volkswagen dealer to give me a code. Greetings.

You go to a vw dealer, they rob you of a lot of money, you can then use voice activation until you get bored of it, no other way round (it’s a SWaP thing) I think if you got your phone connected to the car and press and hold the voice button then Siri/Alexa works but you could need CarPlay/AA for that thou

I've called the dealer in the Netherlands. They told me I needed an extra module

^^^plaver: VWjap is correct, but a very few cars have had facility set at the factory, but not activated. An easy try (which probably won't work)is to try setting the software switch for voice control. it's shown as the third item in the screenshot below on the hex5F module (ignore the boxed item - I used the picture for another purpose originally) As I said, it probably won't work - so just revert the value if you get an error Don

VZA is Verkehrszeichenazeige - Show traffic signs in Infotainment display.
Voice Control is Swap and can be bought as 5G0054802A from a dealer. You unit -should- be voice enabled when it has the voice button and then says "Contact dealer for buying"
