2016 golf R MT owner here. I'D Juse like to give a huge shout out to the OBDEleven crew for making this product possible..

So, in a nutshell I've cleared codes that VW so graciously missed during PDI.. added features like led coding for error free led bulbs on my stock taillights

Reverse mirror dip, went to ROW on my bixenons via long coding, scandinavian drls, compass, service reset, etc... I live in the eastern sierras so logistically VW is out of the question, neither are the local yahoo's.

I have to rely on this great little tool too see me through my mod projects, servicing, and trouble shooting trouble codes.

So - with the colloquial aside said - let's look at your question: First I have to say that in general there's more value in your history report than in the DTCs in you faults report. It's extremely difficult to diagnose "generic" DTCs like the "Databus" errors without knowing specific information like what was being done to the car when they first appeared.

That said, my hunch (and it's just a guess) is that the 2 x DTCs in your 08 Air Conditioning module may be related to the Humidity sensor problem in your BCM. Quite apart from the functional relationship between the two modules where the Humidity sensor is concerned, the mileage for the two DTCs in the hex08 module is exactly the same as the Humidity DTC in the hex09 module (i.e.33926 km). So, let me invite you to go-to your history report and look at what changes were made to your car on 2016-09-22 at 09:23:31 hrs! I suspect that the explanation for these DTCs may well be found there!

OK - now for the Siren/Alarm horn DTC. Here's another view of the code-string for the BCM in your fault report:

What I've done is simply taken the code-string from your BCM and turned it into a byte/bit list as can be seen . So, the interesting observation to make about the code for your BCM is the value that I have highlighted (i.e. Byte 12, Bit 4). Why is this Bit so interesting - I hear you ask? Well, this is the switch that tells your BCM whether there is an alarm siren fitted. As you can see, currently your BCM believes that a siren isn't installed in your car. Why is this so - when Bit 0 of this same Byte is set which tells the BCM that an anti theft system is installed?

Finally, I suspect that the DTC on hex55 module is a remnant from the ROW setting - not sure, but this module might need re-setting, or calibration of the headlights might be rquired through the Basic Setting facility (again, just a guess - "Databus" errors are difficult to diagnose in isolation)

dv52 (Australia) I have the same alarm/horn fault above. Is this something that is fixable through long coding? Should I attempt changing Byte 12, Bit 4 to a "1" instead of a "0"?

Could this also be related to the reason why my car no longer chirps when I lock it (it still does when I unlock). I've tried the coding to enable chirp at lock, the app through obdeleven, through MMI and various other things to try to fix it with no luck
