Hi all,

I just got a Skoda Rapid MY2018. In which I retrofitted the automatic light switch and RLFS sensor. And followed this guide I found on a Polish Rapid forum for the coding. (rapidklub.pl/discussion/comment/25391#Comment_25391)(Use Google translate for English

). I was able to follow all the steps except for one part, which consists of the following:

Step 2 - RLFS sensor coding (RLHS) (example 8U0 955 559 B)
Note! The sensor is an element of the 09 module subsystem. The coding method is described in THIS post.

We read the 09 Cent module. Elect. -> we make sure that the RLFS sensor (or RLHS - some sensors report this way) is already visible -> Long coding -> select our RLFS sensor (RLHS) from the drop-down list -> encode (you can encode by "Long coding helper" or enter the values in hex directly - this component has only 3 bytes

The correct sensor coding is xx 185E - where xx is byte 0 below.
Warning! The value 185E (last two bytes) is correct for Skoda Rapid and sensors 8U0 955 559 B / C and 5Q0 955 547 A.

Now you have to decide how to activate the rain sensor - only the light sensor works. This can be done in two ways:
1. activation in module 09 (BCM): Long coding -> byte 6, bit 3 = 1 or
2. activation in the RLFS sensor (RLHS): byte 0, bit 1 = 1 I
personally did not notice a significant difference in sensor / wiper operation between the two ways.
Summarizing. If you choose to method 1, the sensor RLFS (RLHS), code 00185 ,
if the method 2 is to encode it 02185E .

In this step they talk about a subsystem of module 09 for the RLFS sensor, unfortunatly OBD11 does not show any subsystems when I open module 09. (I have seen screenshots of the option in OBD11, but for me it is not there.)
Could it be that the OBD11 simply doesn't have the right label file for BCM 6C0 937 089 E? Since according to the Polish forum; VCDS is able to pick up this subsystem.

Everything related to lights seems to be working just fine (CH, LH, etc), except rain sensing/wiping shows erratic behaviour.
Does anyone have a idea?
