Hello, does anybody know if it is possible to adjust so that the windshield wipers stops straight up at the highest point when you want it to?(not all the time) This would be very helpful in wintertime to make it easy to clean the wipers from ice and snow.(or if you want to take them off) Is it possible to code a "service position" that you could turn on and off from the car menue or something like that?

^^^ Go to the Central electrics module @ address hex09 - then go to Adaptations -search for Windshield wiper - select Menuesteuerung Frontwischer- change to activeOf course you could just use the manual system for parking the wipers by pressing down on the wiper stalk with ignition switched on

Lurvas,
I believe this is already an existing feature on most golf variants— To activate service position, shut off the ignition (or put into accessory power mode), pull the wiper control stock down and release. This should put the wipers into service mode.
a video w/ a push to start configuration:
Here’s one w/ traditional ignition:

Yeah I get that, although enabling some of the menus or options inside the menus don’t always affect anything, funny old things these VW’s

Plus sometimes the switch definitions don’t always match what they do Also it can be that it’s activated somewhere else like 5f I have
menu_display_wiper: activated menu_display_wiper_clamp_15_off: Not activated menu_display_wiper_over_threshold_high: activated menu_display_wiper_standstill: Not activated menu_display_wiper_after_disclaimer: Not activated

If it's true John, I also have it disabled by default, and if I activate it, no menu appears on the screen.
It's weird, because that name is what makes the menus appear .......
Something escapes us, maybe DV52 can clarify it for us.
adrian: I've implemented this tweak successfully on my Audi A3 and I'm fairly sure that it should also work on a mk7 (if it has the adaptation channel in my response above listed in the BCM) because the two vehicles share the same DNA - being a MQB platform build.
But John is correct about enabling the display in the hex5F module. If it's not working on your car, change the channels like this:
Car_Function_Adaptations_Gen2
In-car procedure
On the Audi- the function appears in the MMI MENU under Car, then under Servicing and checks. It's a tick-box next to some words about "wiper service". With the ignition switched-on, place a tick in the box and the wiper parks in the service position. To return the wiper to the normal position, simply remove the tick

It could be in the 09 because it’s for a different car like Don says, it works on his Audi, maybe there radio/media is not the same as ours the way the menus are formed, just a thought

Don Apologize if I bump up old thread, I have try this : =Menuesteuerung Frontwischer from not-active to active, apparently it only work for first time after changed setting until recently I realized it not working again... Ignition on then off and then push the wiper stalk down once, it does not work too what else I can do?
