DSG reset

Has anyone managed to do it?
I tried to follow instructions for VCDS (via this video that another Cupra owner with VCDS recommended) but the options show up as not available in OBDeleven:
Is it a bug? Is it a feature that can be implemented?
IMHO, it would be quite useful to be able to reset the DSG.
--edit-- I guess this applies to all cars, but it should actually be moved to the facelift section.

dv52 (Australia) kindly did this for the Golf MK7 (Which is the same gearbox) forum.obdeleven.com/post/5723The golf does have a one click app for this but the Cupra does not as far as I can see.
Never tried it myself so cant confirm if it works or not.
Based on the Video you attached you need to do the following
Select control Unit 02 gearbox Select Basic Settings Select Reset Clutch Characteristic curve.
I have never done this so no idea how it works or if OBD11 Gives feedback like VCDS Does in other older threads they say it dont.
Then
Select Basic Settings of Transmission
This is the change that Don has kindly documented in the Golf Thread.
He also gives the pre requisites for the car in terms of engine on, foot on break etc etc but this can be double checked by looking at Ross Tech site I guess.
Hope this helps
or are you saying that you have done that and you got an error back if so could you please confirm what the error was.

Thanks - I think I did not meet all the conditions when I tried before, namely the handbrake.
Will give it another shot based on the instructions on the linked thread and report here my results.

Could not do it with those instructions - I assume there is a bug or a non-supported feature. Think you could escalate this to Voltas for them to take a look?

Just to update the thread, there is now a one click app for this - not tried it but Support tells me it will work.
You still can't do it manually.

hello, it is impossible for me to reset the DSG box from the OBD11 app. when I want to use credits for the function: basic setting of transmission, it keeps loading but nothing happens. when i try to go through control unit -> transmission -> reset, its giving me an error code. do you have the solution?

Does not supprise me I am afraid.
There is a long standing bug where you can't do a reset via basic settings (has been raised) last time I moaned about it they built the one click app but I presume because it's still doing the same thing then the it wont work.
Drop the support team a message via the in app help function and get them to confirm if there is anything else you need to do. I presume you had the temperature up to spec and followed the other pre requisites.
