I've got a 2016 184FR Technology, so it's got all the LED headlights and DRL's, auto lights, etc, and a MIB2 head unit. In the OBDeleven Apps there's one that I wanted to activate called 'DRL settings in head unit'. When I go into it, it says that it's 'Not supported'. My friend has the same car but a 2015 with the MIB1, and it works fine. Is it worth doing it manually through the adaptations with the following:
On or Off daytime running lights (DRL) from the screen
This modification will add a new option in the menu of lights that allow us to activate or deactivate the daytime running lights (DRL) from the screen.
1 - Module 09 - Electronic. Code (31347)
2 - Adaptation
3 - Select - Daytime Running Light
4 - Sub - Tagfahrlichtnur Aktivierung oder durch BAP Bedienfolge moeglich
5 - Change value to ON
Didn't fancy just trying it in-case it buggers something up!
I've done a search on this, and all I can find is people having issues after it's been activated, not with the activating itself.

Is it worth it is up to you if you want to turn the DRL's off and on using a menu item.
I personally have enabled full DRL (Front and Rear) and like them on all the time, the only change I made was they turn off with handbrake on and flash in different cycle to indicators.
This is the latest code I have for this change Activate or deactivate day lights from the screen All models With this modification we will add a new option in the light menu that will allow us to activate or deactivate the daylight (DRL) from the screen. 1 - Module 09 - Electronic control unit. Code (31347) 2 - Adaptation 3 - Daytime running light Up to MY16 or enter Aussenlicht_Front From MY17 and later4 - Tagfahrlichtnur Aktivierung durch BAP oder Bedienfolge moeglich - (Change value to Activated)
I would also suggest that if the car came with DRL's fitted as standard then you need to make sure they are on and working when you take it in for a MOT
Re will bugger something up, I very much doubt it as its a very simple change to add in something. What sort of issues are people having with the change.
If you dont like it just reverse to how it was before.
