Hi All the adaptations you want you have to make entering the control unit hex - 5F (Information Electronics). Hex 5F Adaptation Car_Funtion_Adaptacion_Gen2 - Here you have the menus you see in your Infotainment, you can deactivate how you want the "Lane Assist", etc., for this you will see that each group of "menu_display" has 5 options; you just have to activate or deactivate the first one that mentions the device, for example "menu_display_lane_assit" = activated - deactivated. And the third option "menu_display: _lane_assist_over_threshold_high" = activated -disactivated. The operation of all option menus is similar. Later you have to go to: Car_funtion_List_BAP_Gen2 - And you are looking for the option that mentions the option that you have deactivated in the previous menu, it may or may not be. Check out the coding thread that you have all there.
Thanks adrianvw also do you know how I get the performance monitor working with the temps and boost pressure ?

Try to get a scan of an 5F module with the MIB new and compare with your 5F before the unit change.
print your 5F adaptations of the old unit and try in the 5F adaptations of new module.

^^^^^ hmm......... component protection DTC is active - but you said that the new unit was "unlocked"? Yes correct, Maybe i need to use the word "hacked" so its fully working with CP Active. Only want to remove these errors "U111100 - Function limitation due to missing message "

Can someone tell me if I do this, will I loose the ability to use carplay? I am concerned about that because I think that when I copy/paste the exact same code from 5F Mib1 to 5F Mib2, there will also be loss of functions (because mib1 does not have apple car play) please correct me If I am wrong and explain why.
Btw. I have a egolf and have a mib2 of a golf gasoline so there is a lot wrong with displays and driving modes not working either
thanks very much!!

^^^ crunch:I suspect that what is being proposed is that you compare the database from the two devices one-by-one and you make an intelligent judgement as to which channels should be modified in your new module. In a modern 5F module, the channel count is about 1,300 - but many will be the same.
Personally, I like the VCDS channel maps better because they have a .CSV format - which makes these types of comparisons very easy using higher order applications like MS Excel, or MS Access. I find parsing channel back-up files from OBD11 requires more preconditioning (PITA)

As you kind of noticed I am a total newby and am trying to read everywhere and trying to understand before I make a change. Do you know a thread which is explaining which part of the code does what? Or do you know how to search for it? “Adaptions mib2 retrofit” had no luck. I need to get my driving modes back. Thank you!!
