There are three options under the VIM app:
Standard = no video in motion VIM = just VIDEO IN MOTION VIM/SMS/Browser = VIDEO IN MOTION + View SMS while driving + View AUDI CONNECT news and browser while driving

I tried VIM on my 2017 Q7, it shows working and goes endless. Now it's grayed out and comes back after awhile. Is there specific steps on how to get it to go successfully?

When you mean greyed out, are you talking about the box with the CHECK MARK? I noticed that once in a while the application logs me out. When that happens, the check box goes grey. What do you mean exactly when you say 'how to get it to go successfully?'.
On my car, To the left of the check box, there is a drop down menu with the selection. I choose the selection, and then apply my choice with the box with the CHECK MARK. When all is fine, the box stays green. Can you take a screenshot of the page that you are having problem with?

Hi, received dongle today and activated pro to use on 2016 Q7 in Australia. same here as soon as I hit check mark it shows "working" and goes endless, waited half an hour still "working". Very disappointed.

I went through the VIM/Message app and it said successful but the feature is not enabled. I've tried resetting the MMI but I'm now out 100 credits and no really sure I want to use my other 100 to try again effectively putting me at 30 remaining. How does OBDEleven handle when your apps don't work?

I have 2017 e-tron and all Apps have worked for me. You need to make sure the device you are using has a good internet connection via wifi.
