Hi all, on my Mk3 2014, I have just finished coding my DRL's, front fogs to act like DRL's with dimming & blinker cancellation and rear lights to act as brake lights and DRL's also with Dimming while blinking etc etc etc.... and I'm chuffed I managed to do it without bricking my car....Love the new look too..
But my question to people in the know is, Is it OK to set maximum brightness to 127 or should I keep it at 100?
Whilst doing my research before I did my coding I'm sure I read threads where they said it is not good to set at 127. But I can't find it now.
Does anyone have any opinions on what the maximum brightness can be, should be or shouldn't be. At present I've left them on 100.....
Thanks in advanced...

Honest answer is I don't know however if you look at Leuchte4TFL LB4: and Leuchte5 TFL RB32: they both have dimming values set at 127 (as are many of the other light settings.
I would also question if you can tell the difference between 100 and 127 as I recall doing a code change to make the rear lights brighter and I personally could not tell the difference.
One other thought are you fogs LED Lights or other's as I dont have fogs on my car.

Now you mention it, when I used the app to enable Scandinavian lights I did notice it set them at 127. My fogs are LED lights but I installed them. The stock were 35w halogens.

I would set that at 100 in the dark and then upgrade to 127 and see if you can see the actual difference.
Logically the higher value will reduce the life of the lights and use a bit more of the engine power to generate the electricity - but I very much doubt you could tell.
