Hello there, I have searched but cannot find an answer to this question. When OBDeleven informs you that a Control Unit has a new software version, where does that information come from? An example is below: Thank you, Steve

Most likely from the database because OBDeleven is licenced from VAG.

Thanks for the reply.
Ignas from support replied to an email I sent. It seems that in the background the OBD11 database cross references identical vehicles and their control unit part numbers (from other user scans) and if a higher software version is known to exist it will notify via the app.
Very clever.
