I've recently bought next gen device and first day I wanted to enable ambient colors on my mk7.5 2018. I've used the app to do that but I noticed that I lost ability to change lighting zones so I turned off the feature using the same app. The app did not return light zone setting in "Light" menu, it only disabled color options in newly added background menu. On internet I found coding instruction to add colors and lightning zones so I follow them and everything works now.

The same evening I've noticed long coding entry in history that should not be there (you can see it below). I am not sure how everything worked as new value basically disabled everything.

Two days later I was playing around with dashboard themes and some live monitoring and I left dashboard 'dots' enabled and golf r look. Today I looked at the history and I've seen that long coding for multiple modules has been changed. I am sure that I did not make these changes to long coding, maybe if some adaptations changes are changing long coding values but I don't believe that should be the case.

one example of long coding change that I did not make (also I am not sure how bytes count does not match between old and new values):

When I run full scan I only get some old passive errors that as far as I know could be considered as normal. I've attached the full history and only long coding that I did from long coding menu is revert of 09 Central Electrics
as I mentioned above. Does anyone have any idea or explanation why I am seeing long coding entries that I did not perform from long coding menu?

As I don't know why the values have been change I don't know if I should revert them or not. I wanted to code few more stuff but after I saw this to me explainable entries in history I did not want to touch anything until I get better picture why this is happening.

It seems that obdeleven is putting weird codings in the history, take your 09 codings, they are all 00’s from factory, and that’s what they should be, I know mine is throwing up weird stuff at the moment

to revert your sliders to light you just change both these to not active

Is this wired coding issue known bug to obdeleven developers and if not what is the best way to open a bug for this?

I’ve reverted module 9 to all 0 as that’s factory default. Thanks for the info how to revet sliders to lights menu that useful to know.

The car works just fine, and I cannot say what exactly changed after the "unwanted" coding. Can anyone maybe identify exactly what changed in the Parking Assistance, Passenger Door and Dashboard?

I am just wondering if its a bug or is it normal behavior that the obdeleven changes stuff without asking. I am using the device with apps and I have done a few changes and scans, but until now without such results.

So Byte 2 has changed from 04 to 05

04 = Bit 2 only ticked

05 = Bit 0 and Bit 2 ticked

As I dont know what your car is I can't check to see if there are any labels to explain the change but as vwjap said there is a bug at the moment showing odd coding in your history.

My bad, I did not think that the Car model might be important... it's an 2015 Audi A3 8V.

I tried a few things and I was surprised to see that the Window open from key function wasn't working anymore. I checked via MMI and it was disabled front and back...
So one of the 3 had disabled that. I activated the function again, and it's working.

Another thing, the interior light settings are on "default" I think, as I remember I had them all close to max, and now all of them are at half. So that's another change.

Part of the previous changes that I made, the "Gauge test" is still working (not every time but I don't think it can be related) and the "Seat belt warning" is still off.

Later I will see if I can identify any more unwanted changes.

Sorry been tied up on other matters.

Dont have your year model in my garage but I do have a 2016 one and according to that the dashboard chages you amended Byte 00 from 0B to 03

This difference is the Bit 3 being ticked and the long coding description is Seat Belt warning

The changes in 52 Passenger Door
Old value:

This looks like you only had comfort mirrors (40 = bit 6)

now you have Reverse gear mirror dipping and Position memory for revers gear mirror dipping AND comfort mirror folding (4C = Bit 2, 3 & 6 ticked)

obviously this may be wrong if the setup is different from your car and the one in my garage.

However if you go into long coding (option 1 not 0) and look at the bits I have give you then you can double check.

I did actually activate the Reverse Mirror Dip with a dedicated "app" a while back.
The car does not have the folding mirrors installed, only electrical adjustment and heating.

It seems that the Full Scan results include some of the changes that have been made in the past.

On the same subject, I did see that some of the times the mirror after dip did not revert to the original position, but a slightly higher position.

Can it be that now after the new "unwanted coding" the memory function should also work as you identified through the coding?
That means the "app" for mirror dip for my car model did not code the function properly at first?

andreip all I can say is that a few people (myself included) have seen some odd entries in the history file .

This has been reported as a bug and hopefully the next release (1st July at the latest) will resolve this issue.

With regards to your earlier question is this normal behavior the answer is no, you will see long coding changes shown in the history file if you use an app that makes long coding changes (so you end up with the app change and the long coding change shown) but other than this bug with history you would not expect changes to be made unless you make them.
