Hi!
I got a new led kit for my licenseplate wich used to be halogen. But the thing is so damn bright. Is there a way to dim the lights? I have a 2015 1.4Tsi.

^^^^ Navigate to Leuchte25KZL HA59-Dimmwert AB 25 on the Central electric module (@ address hex09). If you previously had an incandescent lamp, the setting should be 100. Lower this value to a more desirable illumination

Is it saying function not available (31)? Try clearing the app data on the android Or try going into change service and make sure it’s on the top one (vw development or whatever)

This time i was able to change the dim to 47 and got adaptation success. But it did not dim the light and i got a error message in the display. Do i also need to change what type of light there is to led? As now the car think it's 2x5w. But there are so many different led options in that meny.

Yes you should change to LED. I don’t mess with lights myself but DV52 is the master at them

^^^^Andreash: so, the problem has to be with the compatibility of your retrofitted LED lamp with the power supply provided by the Central electrics module (which is Pulse Width Modulation -PWM). The values that I provided above are the factory settings for the OEM LED fitting. As I have reiterated numerous times on many posts on many forums - not all LEDS are created equal!
You could try different LED settings on the Lasttyp channel in the hope that one of them better suits the LED characteristics on the hex09 module, or you could try another manufacturer's LED? Don

Why not use the offical LED froms VW with partnumber: 5G0 052 110 They are working very well, do not turn night into day, have all regulative stamps on them. But the best is- Just code Leuchte 25 like the factory does and have a decent shining plate: Lasttyp: 43 - allgemeine LED Dimmwert AB: 127
