I have a 2016 Passat NMS USA version. Connecting with iso shows only 2 modules. Everything is up to date. Updated firmware last night, took the screen shot after updating the firmware. Amount of modules was the same before and after the firmware update. Android shows all the modules my car has.

2006 VW New Beetle TDI/DSG: Auto detect vehicle does not work, must input VIN to identify (that works) Connects to NextGen device When scanning or attempting to access control units, fails - "Control unit not responding…" During scan, when pinging airbag, airbag light briefly comes on followed by "Airbag off" (center dash) briefly goes out - no other indications of communication with control units. 2002 VW New Beetle 1.8T/5spd: Auto detect vehicle does not work, must input VIN to identify but cannot identify engine type Connects to NextGen device When scanning or attempting to access control units, fails - "Control unit not responding…" No other signs of activity I have an UltraGauge Blue that only sees engine, but it at least allows me to clear codes. The OBDeleven doesn't even do that!

Anybody resolve their issue of only having limited control module access?
I have the same issue... set up with iPhone but then switched to Android to eliminate ios as the root issue. Initially I thought this must be a limitation of the more modest ios support for OBDeleven. Unfortunately, Android gives me the exact same limited number of module access with all others giving the "control unit not responding" message.
I'm tempted to wipe everything and do a clean install starting from Android and see if this helps. Hesitant to do so as it tells me I will loose all credits I currently have.
Perhaps we all have CAN BUS issues on our cars and this is not an OBDeleven issue at all? OBDeleven tech support email asked me to plug into another car and see if I get a different result. Sadly, I don't have a spare Audi sitting around to conduct this test.
I am a former Ross Tech owners from years ago and gave OBDeleven a try now that I'm back in an Audi after a long period of driving non-VAG cars. I'm surprised that the lack of resolution and support from OBDeleven. Seems to be a product that many people have a positive experience with and one that is gaining good market share as a result. They have been around for a good number of years now and I'd expect them to do a better job by this point in their existence. Great potential but worthless if it does not work.

Afraid I cant help with IOS as I am an android owner.
I have seen the problem with not all control units showing, what I have done in the past is firstly make sure the app has closed, if that does not solve it then do a data clear that normally resolves the issues.
With regards to support afraid they have been poor on this in the past but we can see they have taken on some more staff so hopefully they will be able to improve on that.

My gen 2 device doesn’t work. It shows applications that I’ve used on the first generation are somehow not supported
It only detects 1 Control Unit on my car, Gateway
Car is a 2013 Golf R
I’m located in the USA
iOS 13.2.3
OBDeleven version 1.1.2
Firmware update ran as soon as I plugged in my device.
As Further troubleshooting,
I purchased a Google Nexus 5 device, running android 8.1 and the newest version of OBDEleven for android and get the following conditions: The dongle is recognized, the car can connect and communicates with it. I can see the control units. If i try to use any applications, with EXCELLENT WiFI signal, I AM FULLY UNABLE to get the app to do any applications, keeps asking me to check the ignition is set to on. Literally while my car is displaying Ignition On on the dash
I've reached out to OBDEleven support and they've been very... not helpful.

Reading your post reminds me of my own frustration... Bought an Android device to eliminate iOS as the issue. No luck and no real support from OBDeleven.
I check back to this board from time to time and all I see are people describing similar problem with nobody getting resolution from OBDeleven. I hope you get your issue resolved, please post here if you do... guessing we shouldn't hold our breath waiting for OBDeleven to actually engage in a meaningful way and to help their customers. When this product works, people seem to be pretty happy. When the product does not work, people seem to be generally left to twist in the wind.
I would challenge OBDeleven to reach out to me and make a sincere effort to help me and sort out my issues. Would be great to use this product and give it great endorsement.
Have a hard time thinking of another electronic consumer device where the attitude from the company is to ignore their customers. Please prove me wrong OBDeleven, I don't enjoy writing negative posts.

Ios software version: 12.1.2 iphone 7 plus Ios app version: 1.1.3 Dongle variant: Nextgen Hi there, thanks for reporting this issue. We recommend you to not use OBDeleven with Jailbroken device, as we do not support it. Although, your reported issue is already fixed and will be available in 1.1.4 update this week. Also, next time, please report to the correct version board. As you were using version 1.1.3, and this is 1.1.2 board.
