Anyway to enable video in motion via OBDEleven? Seems like there aren’t too many options for this model yet.

As far as i know vim is not currently not supported for 2019 models. However you can try google it and do it manually if you have PRO.

(Is it you have to open the bonnet/boot then hit unlock) I’ve seen plugs that go on the back of the radio, as I couldn’t find anything on google dude

For some >2019 cars there is a "firewall" installed which means you need to open the bonnet before you can code. What do you mean with "obdeleven process"?

He means a process to unlock VIM ? I have also seen the module you add behind but also started seeing the offering by ways of OBD

I don’t have the pro so don’t think I can code myself, is anyone creating an app for it like they do for other models or is there someone I can reach out to to request it?

Does this mean that a Long Coding method will soon be worked out as I don't have any credits, just the pro license? Is it possible to compare changes made between two backups to see what the app changed?

It’s still in the firmware I believe bud as with MIB2 units

ah ok, does that mean the OBDEleven process updates the MMI firmware to enable VIM? (sorry, all this is new to me)
Also, what's an MIB2 unit?
Thanks.

There’s lots and vairents in between too
3G and 3gplus is long coding

No problem too and bottom I’d use the 100 credits and have done so myself

There is a way of doing it without 100 credits if you have the Pro, I've done it on my A7 4K, not sure if it will be the same as the A6

Not sure about that, it involved a hit n miss n hope process. Off course you need to ensure you can play the vid first. I've posted how I fluked it on the A7 4K forum if anyone is interested.

So it appears from what I am reading that I have MIB2.5 (Touchscreen) in my vehicle. I just tried to use the APP to get VIM and it said No Supported and would not let me select a value to turn it on. My assumption is that this version of the app does not work in MIB2.5. Can anyone confirm that? Or am I making an error in what I am doing. On a side note, I was able to adjust the steering wheel, heated and ventilated seats, with no issues. Just really would like to get VIM going for my wife and those long trips in the mountains.

I tried the instructions from the A7 VIM forum, but I am not able to save the changes... I have the impression that the Code 20103 might not be the right one..
Has some one experience with an A6-C8-4K with Touchscreen MMI and OBDeleven PRO
I activated the Developer Mode
I changed the Testmode_video_Speed_cutoff, I enter the max speed 200 and the code 20103.. it accepts it, but when I want to move away from the page, the system starts searching for a code and the message pops up that the change was not accepted.
has someone an idea how to resolve this?

There must be a way getting VIM activated without using the app. I do not want to use the app because after the next service they will upgrade and reset everything... that will get expensive redoing the config 2 times per year.... had that experience already with Audi with my previous car... I found a tool that is generating the code, but I would need the serial number of the 5F control unit.... and in OBD Eleven it is telling me that the SN is not available.... where can i find the SN of the F5 control unit.... in the Info TAB it is empty...
or or has someone managed to activate VIM on a touch screen MMI on a A6 4k using OBD direct coding ( not using the app)?

It’s in the firmware not coding

fast - I changed the Testmode_video_Speed_cutoff, I enter the max speed 200 and the code 20103.. it accepts it, but when I want to move away from the page, the system starts searching for a code and the message pops up that the change was not accepted.
This does work on the C8, even though it shows an error, reboot the MMI and try VIM, it will work. I had to select the code from the item that came up after I entered the code the first time.
This happened to my car.
I did it a second time again with the error message, and in fact it worked after trying it (and rebooting the MMI first).
