Yes. There is a difference between led or halogen taillights.
For halogen taillights Steuergerät 09 (7)Leuchte24 SL HRA65-Lichtansteuerung HD AB 24 neuer Wert(new): Always (7)Leuchte23 SL HLC10-Lichtansteuerung HD AB 23 neuer Wert(new) : Always
Der Defaultwert beide lautet (old description was) "only_if_closed"
For led taillights Steuergerät 09 (7)leuchte27nsl rc6, is for both inner taillights. But i dont have the channel may you find him by yourself for searching for a" lichtansteuerung" where is written "only if closed"

Can anyone help me so my tail lights work when boot is open Thank you Kamz:I'm making lots of assumptions about your question - your post has an economy of information!!! First: I assume that you want the outer-tails to illuminate when you open the hatch - why would you want the inner tails to illuminate when the hatch is opened? Second: I'm not sure if your car has incandescent, or LED tails . Third: I'm not sure whether you have a RoW, or NAR model mk 7 - it makes a big difference because NAR outer-tails are also used for turn-signals, whereas RoW are not. Anyhow, based on my answers to the 3 x assumptions above, here's a copy of my instructions for the tweak that I wrote for VCDS, for incandescent lamps - I'm sure that you can translate them into OBD11 speak Don PS: perhaps Admin can turn these instructions into an App? Always good for less experienced OBD11 users - and it generates more revenue for the company (why isn't there any attribution on OBD11 Apps?)!! "Outer" tail-light illumination when hatch opened:[/font]control module 2. Select Security Access3. Enter the magic number 31347 4. Select Adaptation 5. Check that the default settings for the adaptation channels shown in the table below for either your RoW or NAR vehicle are as indicated in the RoW/NAR Setting column 6. ONLY IF STEP 5 ABOVE IS CONFIRMED - For the car type (i.e. RoW, or NAR), change the adaptation channels depicted in the table below to the values in the New Setting column [/ul]

Ok Don you are right. I dont think about what the user want. Inner or outer taillights. For me it was the inner taillights, sorry. My post is for illuminate inner taillights. I thought the outer taillights are always on like it is on my touran.

I thought the outer taillights are always on like it is on my touran. Daniel: This is one of those situations where we are both right!! As I describe in my paper on Leuchte programming (I think that I have posted a link to the document before), there is a special case in each of the 35 x Leuchte-sets for the AB alpha pair. It is the channel that you identified in your post which has the descriptor " Lichtansteuerung HD". All the other apha pairs ( CD, EF and GH) in a Leutche-set have the different channel descriptor " Dimming Direction". Now my German language skills are not good at all, but Google says that " Lichtansteuerung HD" translates to " Light control HD" in English. In my paper on Leuchte programming, I guess that HD is short for Heck Deckel, which Mr Google says means " Rear Lid" in English. So the Lichtansteuerung HD channel means " Light control for the Rear Lid" in English! The difference between our two responses to Kamz's question is that your method only alters the way that the two commands in the Apha channels A and B operate when the boot lid is open, or closed. For example, if channel A was programmed as a brake light and channel B was programmed as Parking light, then the lamp would illuminate as a brake light, or parking light if the boot lid was open, or closed when the setting in the Lichtansteuerung HD channel was set to " always" - as you have said. But, for this example, the lamp would ONLY switch-on if either the brake pedal is pressed, or if the rotary light switch is in the Parking light position - by using the always setting, the lamp would not switch-on if you simply just opened the hatch-lid. My tweak instructions adds a new function to the outer tail lights so that all you need to do is to open the hatch lid and the lamp switches-on This is the difference between our two responses -as I say, both right, but in a different way! Don But in my example,
