Sorry to bring up an old thread, but it has become relevant to a RVC installation I am struggling with.

In order to be on the CAN network, I believe the module (new 6C in this case) must be physically connected to the J533 (Gateway), correct?

I have not done this, connecting the 6C to the 5F instead, via a provided extension. The 5F works, but the 6C does not communicate. I believe this setup is for a RVC low, and not the Highline version I have purchased.
