Hi all, i recently had a minor bumper to bumper crash with my volkswagen golf mk6 1.6 tdi and after this incident my parking sensors stopped working(5 second long beep when i select reverse gear).. I took of the front bumper to see if its damaged and i saw the front right parking sensor had cracks along the back of the sensor so i replaced with another used one off ebay but the problem is still there. I decided to dig further and found same crack on the front left parking sensor as well so that might possibly be the problem but i would like to get it diagnosed before i take the plunge on another sensor and i came across this obd scanner for vw and it looks really good for the price. But i want to know if this will read the parking sensor module on my car ? Does anyone know?

I would suggest buying ALL sensors for that bumper, install them then clear the fault codes. The parking recognition system does have a "live data" option to see if there is a reported object by the sensor. In the initial repairs, was paint sprayed on the bumper blocking the sensor(s)?
Yes. OBDeleven and VCDS can diagnose this, but in either case, you will still need to buy yet another sensor (based on what you discovered above).
