To open/close with beep/horn go to: - 09 Cent. Elec - Adaptation - Acknowledgement Signals Here you can activate beep and also activate/deactivate it in your MIB screen menu.  |

What does any of that mean, can we change those values ? ^^^^ I suspect that what Dennis is saying is this:
- Fire-up the OBD11 software and connect to the dongle
- Go to the Central electrics module @ address hex 09
- Select Security access
- Enter the magic number 31347
- Select Adaptation
- In the search box type "Acknowledgement signals"
- Set-up the values in the channels in Dennis's picture as shown
- Press the green tick to confirm the changes

I did the same as the picture and nothing, no beeb or horn.... just close the car and nothing, and the obd accepted my changes

Not sure if its the same on the Audi but on the MQB Seat you have to do a factory reset on the MMI to get this to work.

Hello, I did all the things as listed. But i have MMI basic in my Audi A3 8V (2016). And i dont have the option 'Tone when locking' in my MMI system. Is this can be the reason ? Maybe i am too away from the reason with that idea. i am new to audi and and these are my very first personel codings  Thanks anyway... |

insolentminx : hmm....... I'm not sure if the basic MMI is a problem. But as I say in my table, Acknowledgement signals-Menuesteuerung akustische Rueckmeldung is the channel that places this function on the MMI screen.
On an A3, the software switch is accessed as per my screenshots above
Check again that the channel is activated and if you are still having the same problem, try leaving the channel value as not active. Not sure if this will work, but it's an easy try - so worth a shot IMO!

Hello again,
While i was trying to active engine oil display, i did some mistakes like to code byte 0 instead of byte 16. Then i looked up in history and revert it back. Finaly the engine oil display is okay but horn when locked was not working 😳
I checked all the setting for tone when locked, everythink seems okay but it does not function anymore.
Does anyone have idea how can i solve this?

By the way i now realised that my lights are also not flashing when i locked the car 😲

Finaly i solved the problem The day i messed up i also coded for Emergency Break / Flashing Lights. 09 control unit, byte 16 bit 1 and 2 active as listed in forum. Now i deactivated this coding today and lock confirmation blink and beep was activated again 🥳 I really dont know what was the problem but i am happy to get rid of it Anyway, if anyone will challenge with this situation can maybe try this way.
