Good morning all, As the title says, I need you, I made several improvements in my car, Blinds Spot Detecion, Heated Seat, TPMS, Lane Assist (Module A5), so everything works perfectly, but a worry, my car once turned off and locked in my garage, if I do not use it for 3 or 4 days, when I come back, there is no battery, I have to open it manually, and then recharge the battery, which is quite annoying, it happened since I installed and plugs the Lane Assist, so I asked some who did the retrofit and I was plugged in the wrong places, I changed the location of the fuse but the problem continues. Can you help me? Or for example tell me what are the locations on golf 7 that uses power permanently even contact off? Here is a picture of my installation with schema thank you in advance

^^^ Florian: According to my wiring diagrams the hexA5 module (R242 in VW speak) is powered by a Terminal 15 voltage (i.e. a switched voltage on ignition turn-on) on pin #6 on the module. My WD says that for OEM installations, the voltage supply is connected to Fuse 32 (it's a 7.5 Amp fuse) on fuse holder C. The "C" fuses for LHD model mk7s is shown below.
Your picture is very different - is this car a mk7 (I assume that it is since you posted on the mk7 forum)?

Why not pull the piggybacks when you leave it for 3-4 days and see if it goes flat then, also how olds your battery? Do you have a volt meter with 10a check on it that you know how to use? Can you check the voltage isn’t on the piggybacks when ignition isn’t on?

Don @ dv52 Hi my friend, so to be honest with you for the lane assit, I connected to the fuse S34 with a double fuse holder, I put the fuse already connected, and I added a 7.5, I still have the battery draining, probably because of other retrofits "Blind Spot, TPMS, heated seats but I do not know or plugs each. vwjap Hi yes I have a voltmeter, but I do not know how to use it to check the power consumption when stopped

^^^ Florian, According to my database SC34 is a "terminal 15" fuse - which means that power is only active when the ignition is turned-on. So your battery drain problem is NOT coming from this fuse. I suggest that you look at the other retrofit fuses that you have used.

Ok depending on your multimeter, but normally their 10 amp ( so don’t check anything with a fuse higher than 10) You normally have 3 terminals for your probes (amp/earth/volt) so leave the black in earth and put the red in amp Then switch the multimeter to 10 amp Now with ignition off pull the fuse to what you want to test and put one probe into one side and other into what’s left of where you pulled the fuse from (so like replacing your fuse but with the multimeter) Read the display of the multimeter should be 0 or 0.00, if not you have a drain
Now the battery, lets say you have a 30 AMp battery, that would mean if the battery was in top condition it would take a 30amps draw for it to go flat in a hour, so at 1 amp it would take 30 hours to flatten the battery, and 60 hours on a half amp (0.5) drain, but of course if your battery is older then it will lower them sums
Hope this helps find your drain

Hi thanks to you, I understand that the heated seats are connected to the f26, and the blindspot on the f32 as the lane assist, the problem is that my dual fuse holder does not arrive on the f32 it touches the fuses f31 and does not sink to the end, it's quite complicated.

to Me your heated seat is f48 (piggyback 20a standard) Your blindspot is f15 (7.5a mini) And your lane assist is f34 (piggyback 7.5a mini)

Hi my friend, are you sure of the connection of the heated front seats? Yesterday I followed the link that you gave me and I connected to the "F26" for the 2 front seats, for the camera A5, I bought a double fuse holder, the problem it does not fit in the F32, I am obliged to connect to the F33 because there is no place with the fuse holder, you are also on the blind spot in F15? Your link did not say that

Yes I redo a picture of what I have updated since your article, but the battery problem still persists, I still can not understand why and found a method that can verify that

vwjap Hello, here is the photo of the update I made. In f26 I put a fuse of 20 for the heated front seats, then in f34 I put a double fuse holder with 2 fuse of 7.5 there is on the front camera a5 and blinds spot detection, and in f45 j put a fuse of 20 for the adjustment of the electric seats, correct me if I have an error

vwjap Hi, listen I just watch and I think that the battery is no longer empty, since 5 days without using it, it remained at 12.67 V, as I unscrewed it goes to 12.3 but never below and then she goes back to 12.50 / 60 so I think the problem is solved, in any case thank you for your diagram ultra detailed
