Hi all. First time user and new to VW. I have the Atlas SEL premium and when I am trying to do the following Unblock infotainment menus while moving 1/ Select Control Unit: 5F Information Control Unit 2/ Select Adaptations 3/ Select Locked menu contents 4/ Change everything that is "blocked" to "non_blocked." I can't find Control unit 5F but I find 56 (radio). I go into it and go into adaptation and then to the locked menu contents. I changed all blocked to non-blocked press and hold the check mark and the app comes back with: (31) Function not available What am I doing wrong. Before that I did use one of the apps for the open/close from the key fob and worked perfect. Having the same issue here on my 2019 SEL Premium, any attempt to save any changes under the Radio Control Unit Adaptations and "Locked menu contents" returns "(31) Function not available".
Any guidance here or any basic info on why or when "(31) Function not available" is returned?

Did you try with the ignition on but engine off. Press the start button with your foot on the brake, and then try coding.

It definitely works as I did it on my 19 SEL-P last week. If you saved another adaptation right before that you sometimes can't apply another one. That's when I get the 31 error code. If you exit back out all the way to the control units page and then go back in and try again, it should work. Either code 31347 or 20103 I think.

I tried it again this morning with only the ignition on and was able to successfully save the changes.
hfnva check this out if you didn't already get your menus unblocked. |

hfnva check this out if you didn't already get your menus unblocked. Yes I did finally get them unblocked. For some reason The way it worked for me was to have the car running. |
