Hi guys! I have a 2019 VW Polo GTI with a Virtual Cockpit/Dashboard ("Active Info Display" as VW called it). I have noticed an annoying problem, the traditionally Digital Clock is missing on the top of the Active Info Display after turning the ignition on, but when I shutting the ignition down the Digital Clock appears again. I found out many VW's owners around the world complaining about this issue and it seems like a software bug or a forgotten feature which remained inactive (intentionally). In my knowledge the models with the problematic Digital Clock are VW Polo, Jetta, some of Tiguans, and T-Roc, while other models like Golf, Passat as well as other VW's brands like Skoda, Audi, Seat have received a Digital Clock on the AID! The pictures I have attached below you can see an example of the missing Digital Clock. Anyone here may know something about an OBD11's coding that could activate it? (Or maybe if someone here know any VW's employee he maybe could officially report it as a BUG to the VW's Technical Department in hope they will solve it with a software update?) Thanks

yup that's what I thought, I have tried emailing to VW's main factories such as VW Germany/VW Spain/VW United Kingdom the answers I have got attached below:
--------------------------------- VW Spain: Quote: Thank you for contacting us again.
In relation to the matter at hand, our Technical Department indicates that the circumstance reported in the photographs provided is the natural functioning of the vehicle, not detecting any anomaly in this behavior. They inform us that when the engine starts the view of the clock disappears, but time can be checked on the MIB screen.
Nonetheless, we will record and transfer your comments to the Brand in order to improve our service.
Kind regards,
--------------------------------- VW Germany: Quote: Thank you for your patience concerning your request dated 2 August 2019.
Please be informed that the digital clock in the virtual cockpit will not be displayed in our
Volkswagen Polo due to conceptional reasons of our technical development.
Since SEAT is a brand which forms concepts for several technical components by their own, we
cannot comment the difference between the virtual cockpit of our Volkswagen Polo and SEAT
Ibiza.
Dear Mr *****, since we know that you may have expected a different statement from us, we
hope that we have been of assistance with this information.
Kind regards from Wolfsburg,
i.V. Sinan Bulut i.V. Davide Manca--------------------------------- VW United Kingdom:Thank you for your return e-mail dated 01 August. I am sorry that your Country has not been able to forward your request to the Factory in Germany.
As noted previously, your request has reached Volkswagen UK Head Office. Regrettably, we are only able to assist with issues relating to UK specification vehicles, and Retailers within the United Kingdom.
I am sincerely sorry for any disappointment this may cause.
I have included a link, which will allow you to contact Volkswagen Germany where one of my colleagues will be happy to assist you:
www.volkswagen.de
I hope this information proves useful and I trust your request is taken on board.
Kind regardsMichelle Farrar

--------------------------------- So basically VW doesn't give a shit about any customers claims even in cases it is totally their own faults, once they selling you a car u can go the hell from their perspective. It is absolutely a minor fix they can solve it and send a version software update easily.
All I have left is hoping that maybe someone will find an OBD11's code to activate it.

I have the same problem in Passat R-Line production 2019 (but MY2020). For me this is ridiculous. All MY2020 AID users are affected. I have heard, that this is corrected in MY2021, the clock is back. Do we have here any electronics engineers who are familiar how to flash/reverse engineer AID firmware, to bring the clock back?

Dears, still nothing? No one cares about it? No one asked any AID tuners how to bring back the clock? It's car from 2019, and we still have this missing. Can we somehow replace instrument cluster to have the clock?
