Still waiting on the OBDeleven/pro - wanted convenience windows and mirror lowering....
But... I really need to remove the "playing card from the spoke" , as it just seems pediatric.

Wow "pediatric"?
I had to look it up - means "relating to the branch of medicine dealing with children and their diseases". I agree if you mean "juvenile" - folk seem to either love,or hate the Soundaktor facility (if this is what your mean by "playing card from the spoke") So - I've never removed the Soundaktor on a e-Golf, but I suspect that you won't find an OBD11 App for the task given the newness of the vehicle. In any event, my advice is not to use OBD11 APPs, EVER - they cost credits and you learn nothing about how to program control modules!!
Much better to do the tweak manually - if it's the same as a normal mk7 Golf , then the procedure goes something like this: - After you press the Connect button and from the main screen - scroll down the list of modules that are fitted to your car until you see a module with "A9" in a green circle on the Left-side of the screen (the module is normally called "Structure Borne Sound", but I'm not sure how OBD11 will identify the module on a e-Golf). Select the "A9" module
- Select Adaptation from the options on the lower left side of the screen
- There should be only one adaptation channel in this module - it should be something like "Volume of structure borne noise actuator". Select this adaptation channel
- The normal factory setting for the volume is 100 - but you can select any value from 0-100. Choose a value to your liking - a setting of 0 will turn-off the sound
- Click on the tick symbol to confirm your new setting - that's it!!

PS: You may be interested in how the Soundaktor works: It's a bit like those small "boom-box" devices that you stick to a solid surface that then acts like an amplifier. In the case of Soundaktor, there's a small actuator and the "A9" control module that's located in the plenum cavity (under the windscreen -in the engine bay). The actuator vibrates the windshield which then produces the sound in the cabin (see below). The other way to disable the Soundaktor is to physically disconnect the plug to the actuator - but this involves removing the plenum cover. Again, I agree all a bit juvenile - unless of course you love the effect!

Thanks for the info. I have seen the write up on the device you mention. It is designed to enhance the engine sound.
The module in the egolf is just forward in the right front wheel well. It makes a slight engine sound at slow speeds, since the motor is silent. Designed so people can hear it I guess. The tire sound on the road is enough for that.
Once the module arrives I’ll poke around....

Can’t you just unplug it?

^^^^ hmm........ depends on how you disconnect the Sounaktor. If you pull-out the connector to the hexA9 module - then you will generate a DTC because there is no longher any comms on the CAN network. But if you pull-out only the actuator connector - you probably won't generate an error.
But as I said in my first reply - you do need to pull-off the plenum cover and reach-in with your fingers - much easier using OBD11 IMO!!

forums.vwvortex.com/forumdisplay.php?5376-eGolf-VII#/topics/7108275?page=7The above link details a bit more on the E sound. It’s unique to certain markets and e-vehicles. Not the same as non e-vehicles sound generation devices. EDIT: Never updated this, but I ended up putting a resistor in the unplugged speaker. The resistor stops any error code, and unplugging stops the sound.
