^^^^^hmm...........I suggest that you try them all - but I'm not sure that any of the Lichtfunktions that you mention will work in the way that you want.
I can't simulate the overhead switch function for the roof lights on my test-bench, so I'm just guessing - but if you replace Fussraumlich with any of the Ambientelicht/Umfeldbeleutctung settings in the LC72 Leuchte-set, I suspect (guess really) that the footwell lights will simply ALWAYS illuminate when opening the car door, or unlocking the car with the key-fob.
With any of the "Ambient light" settings applied, I don't think that the footwell lights will recognize the position of the "car roof switch" - because (from my quick look at the wiring diagram), I don't believe that the overhead roof switch is connected to the Central electrics module @ address hex09 (I think). If I'm correct, this means that the BCM doesn't know the status of the roof switch - therefore it can't decide when to turn OFF the Ambient light function based on the roof switch position
But as I said, try it and provide feedback - please

^^^^ If there is a "co-dependence" between the footwell lights and the interior lights (and I don't believe that there is) - it's in the firmware for the BCM (what the wiring diagram calls "J519"), because the wiring arrangement for the footwell lights couldn't be simpler- see below: Don
