Singapore? No -I'm not familiar with your country's TMC code.

But as I understand, Singapore's TMC data is carried via conventional FM radio broadcasts and Digital Audio Broadcasting. So -the transport mechanism for TMC in your country is the same as that in Europe, America and it's the same as here in Australia.

As I've said in my early responses on this thread, you need to find an Golf mk7 in your country that has TMC working - then look in the module @ address hex5F (the "MIB") for the adaptation channel Fee-based traffic information (TMC). The value in this channel holds the TMC code for Singapore.

Another way that may (emphasis on "may") work is to download the latest map update file for your country. Within this database there will be the following files:

TMCProviderSets\TMCProviderSets.xml
TMCProviders\TMCProviders.xml

Search the downloaded database for the term "TMCProvider" (using the search facility on the operating system for your laptop/PC). Then open the 2 x files above with a text editor like MS Notebook. You should find information which is intended for software developers relating to the permissible TMC codes for the downloaded data.

Purely as information, I've included a version of TMCProviderSets.xml below for the Australian region - but of course Singapore's version will be different.

I'm driving the A3 8v and I retrofitted MIB2 High, I thought I can't the find the file from the maps . I was trying the 1023, and 1024, they are not working in Singapore.

I had scan the O3 2022, which have traffic information with mib2plus, the TMC code is the 65533.and it can't working on my car.

I just search the TMC provider of Singapore is the LTA (Land Transport Authority)， and its frequency are 93.3 MHz and 97.2 MHz

Can i do the xml file manually?

hmm.............I'm surprised that you found 65533 on a VAG car that has a working version of TMC - very odd indeed!!!! As I have already said in an earlier reply on this thread, my understanding of the codes that are used in VAG vehicles are:

OK. Again, I'm not familiar with Singapore - but I assume that those frequencies apply to the FM broadcast spectrum in your country.

If I'm correct and assuming stuff happens the same in Singapore as in other countries - the underlying data for TMC is encoded onto the RDS (Radio Data System), which is a special communications protocol for transmitting digital data packets via a 57khz sub carrier frequency. This is the 3rd harmonic frequency for the stereo pilot tone on FM radio stations (but this is probably too much information for this post)! Anyhow, the reason for highlighting this point is that since TMC information is carried on a sub-harmonic frequency of the FM stereo signal - an indicator for working TMC is stereo reception for audio. Do you get stereo reception on FM radio? Also, RDS must be enabled on the MIB.

So - I assume that "TP" appears on the upper part of the MIB screen when you are using FM radio (importantly, "TP" doesn't have a slash through-it). I also assume that when listening to FM radio, textual data is shown - like details of the music (this confirms RDS is active). Finally, I assume that the FM reception where you drive is sufficient to receive stereo.

TMC ain't got nothing to do with CARNET - it's a totally different method of providing traffic information! And neither does TMC involve "using internet" (again, it ain't a web based information system)

As I have already said above and in those countries that have TMC, the communication medium is FM radio (specifically, the data is sent over a sub harmonic of the stereo frequency).

So, to get TMC. you need to:

be in one of the countries that use TMC.
have a car with an operating version of the factory form of SATNAV (i.e. via the MIB)
have the correct TMC activation code registered in the MIB (this is the subject if this thread)
have RDS (Radio Data Service) activated for the FM band on the MIB
have a radio-signal strength from the FM station that sends TMC data sufficient for stereo reception
