I can help you. Does your car use the horn for the confirmation or the siren hidden under the right-hand wheel well? Does the alarm make a sound if you unlock the locked (and armed) car using the keyblade, but not the key fob (after 10 - 15 seconds). If the hazard lights flash, but no alarm sound, then the siren under the right wheel well is soaked with rain water and needs to be replaced. It is held in an aluminium box by 2 rivets. You would have to remove the fender-liner to get to it.

I have the same issue with my car I hear no sound to confirm lock and unlock of the alarm my siren is not the problem though as I have tried 3 different sirens and none make a sound. However if I unplug the siren then plug it back in I do hear a little sound from the siren as it is being powered back up. So my issue is something else but I have no idea what it is! Do you have any ideas on how to get this problem fixed?

I'd start by looking for fault codes in the Central Electronic Comfort module for anything improperly coded. I assume you checked all fuses already on the dashboard. MY siren had 3 pins to interface with the factory wiring. Does your car give you a fault code for the siren? If so, a clone copy of ODIS would pinpoint the actual issue.

I had to retrofit mine as my vehicle had the 2 pin version under the wheel arch I followed the steps outline on doing the retrofit to a tee once it was done it actually worked for about 2 months with no issues then out of no where it just stopped working I do have an error code "alarm horn no signal" but that error code was there after I did the retrofit with the new siren working. By the way what is ODIS and how do I get a clone copy?

My car's siren has a built in battery that continues to produce the alarm noise even after the main battery is disconnected. My siren can also change "alarm tones" like ringtones on your cellphone. ODIS is a beautiful tool that your VAG dealer uses to troubleshoot issues like this and to flash and update the various modules in your car. It uses a VAS5054A and VAS6154 cable to connect to your OBD2 port and interrogate the various modules. Imagine VCDS on steroids.
In your case, it would interrogate your CANbus (Gateway #19) to ensure your alarm and immobilizer are connected, then functioning properly. Once successful, it would then test the "ground", "positive" and "signal" wires of your alarm horn for an open circuit. It would then test the resistance of each wire. At that point, it would tell you which wire isn't connected properly. My suggestion to you would be to disconnect the siren and place a sensitive multimeter, lightbulb, or oscilloscope in its place, then set off the alarm to see what happens. This test is to rule out the siren being the issue. Do NOT connect your siren directly to a 12V power source such as your car battery. If your car alarm is like mine, then it uses a PWM signal for the alarm siren (and might be possibly fried if a direct 12V is left connected to it).
