Around 2 weeks after using the windows from remote app, both of my front windows stopped working. I could hear them click up, but nothing when trying to roll them down. I tried setting the app value back to off but this had no effect.
At first I wasn't sure if this was related to the app (maybe a fuse went?) so I brought it into the dealer to see what was up. After a few strange looks they told me that the car thought the windows were in the down position when they remained in the up position. (Which explains the clicking sound when trying to key them up.)
After changing the value in the car's computer, the windows resumed normal functioning. Has anyone seen this before? I did a brief scan of the forum and didn't see anything.
If something like this were to happen again, is there a way to fix it myself rather than bringing it back to the dealer and raising suspicions? The tech found it "very strange."
