I am trying to figure out what settings to use to have the DRLs dim, when I pull the parking brake ON when the rotary switch is set to "Parking Lights." neoupa: Hi - my suggested changes won't work in your case - return the values back to factory settings and then post-up the complete Leuchte-set for one side of the car.
There is a Leuchte-command for when the handbrake is applied, but I need to see how the factory programmed your DRL/Parking-Light Leuchte-sets first

MMMHHH... Understand: I already have this option on the MIB (already activated via OBD11) But I would like to keep LED in 0 position, just would like them to be dimmed...
What I will do is to try to DISABLE Scandinavian LED with DRL and see if I can adjust brightness in the AB value: will be back tomorrow! :-)

Ok, I disappeared, in a typical Italian style but here I am! :-)
I have been trying to copy+paste Don's parameters BUT now I got the message of low voltage battery by OBD11 software. No coding is anymore possible. :-(
Trying to recalibrate the battery using real-datas did not help.
Cleaning the cache of the APP did not help.
Cleaning all the datas of the APP (and, therefore, logging-in again) did not help.
Shall I try to reinstall the APP? Can it be there is this 'mislead' value because I disabled the Start+Stop function using the low voltage method?

After nearly a year, I figured it out. Didn't have to change any lighting channel adaptations.
To recap, I have a halogen equipped Mk7.5 Golf. I wanted to have when selected the parking/side lights on the light switch, for the front DRL led strip to remain dim, and not full bright DRL as it is from factory.
Turns out, in ZV Allgemein (there are actually a ton of peculiar factory settings available in there), there's a specific function regarding DRLs and having them on when selecting parking/side lights. Mine from the factory was set to "Active" and turning it off got me what I wanted.
So the end result now is:
Light switch 0 = DRL on (as from factory); when parking brake is on, DRL off.
Light switch Parking light = DRL dimmed + tail lights
Light switch low beam = DRL dimmed + low beams + tail lights (as from factory)

luis600 : Hi. your first picture is from a Golf GTI and your second picture if from a Golf R. Coincidentally there is a post on the mk7 forum today from someone who has a Golf R and wants the Golf GTI DRLs (so exact opposite). See my response HERE - it also applies in your case

I'm looking to do this. It's actually the whole reason I purchased an obd11. I have the stock halogen lamps and im not a fan of those blue drl lights being on with my low beams.
I found this thread, but I have the automatic position on my switch. Is there a way to make the drls and parking lights shut off when the low beams are on? The mixture of colors in light temperature is driving me crazy.

For Lichtfunktion E - change from Standlicht allgemein (Schlusslicht; Positionslicht; Begrenzungslicht) to Standlicht vorn (Positionslicht; Begrenzungslicht) on the following: - Leuchte2SL VLB10
- Leuchte3SL VRB21
- Leuchte4TFL LB4
- Leuchte5 TFL RB32
So - with this change, instead of the DRLs illuminating with low-beams, they will turn-on (at a dimming level of 28) whenever the rotary-light-switch is on the Parking Light position - which is the 2nd right-most position. ALL other DRL functions remain unchanged.
Don PS: I assume that this is a Yankee car - really odd placement of fog-light command on Leuche-set (I assume that it works)

I am in the U.S., so if thats what you mean by Yankee Car you are right lol. But yes, my fogs work.
So, with these changes my DRLs will only be on with my low beams when my switch is in the parking light position? So the drls should turn off when my low beams turn on at night when in the "auto" switch position? Or will I need to manually move my switch now.

Yes, with the rotary light switch in the AUTO position, the DRLs will work as normal during daytime (i.e. 100% ON), but they won't illuminate (at all) during nighttime conditions (this is my understanding of your wants). The low-beam lights will work as normal too - so, in the AUTO position nothing else changes (other than no DRL after dark). If you simply change Lichtfunktion E in my instructions above to the Leuchte-command "not-active", the Parking-Light position (you might call this "position-lights") on the rotary light switch will do nothing. So in my tweak, I've retained the ability to turn-ON these lights (albeit at reduced illumination) anytime that the rotary light switch is in the 2nd right-most position (see the picture below).

Perfect! I just tried it and it looks to be working great. My car was warning me that my drls were out at first, but when I finished all the coding it seems to have gone away.
Is there a way to completely disable the orange led parking lights in the headlamps as well?

Try this:
For Leuchte8FL LB2 and Leuchte9FL RB2 - ONLY IF Lichtfunktion A = Standlicht allgemein (Schlusslicht; Positionslicht; Begrenzungslicht) - change to nicht aktiv
If my memory is correct and the tweak works, this change should still allow the orange LED to operate as Single Side Parking Light (SSPL) - which is when the ignition is turned-OFF and the turn-indicator stalk has been switched to one side of the car (I assume that you want to retain SSPL)
Also, I'm not sure if turning-OFF the orange LEDs as Parking Lights is road-legal up there in the land-of-the-free. Try as I have, I could never understand America's DoT regulations - I will leave it to you to make this judgement (the liability I will accept for my suggested change exactly equals the amount of dollars that I receive from the forum for providing the suggestion - which is zero!  )

On the LP cars they can be disabled, if Don's previous reply didnt help I can check what settings I used to disable both front and rear markers on my car. |

Hello! i got the Same problem, i hate that only the outer DRLs are on and not the inner ones to. i have Golf GTE 2020 MK7.5 with the same lights as @datboy and want both DRLs on, how can i do that, thats why i bought the OBD11 and i cant do anything on the apps on this car beside the seatbelt chime off....

florent: hmm....... this question has been asked many times! Alas the answer is NO. VW factory headlight fittings on GTI/GTE models don't have any lighting components installed in the inner "angel-eyes". WV call these fittings with blank inner parts of the headlight a "GTI signature" (yes, marketing spin)

hello, I ask for help for a problem created after installing the rain / humidity light sensor, and light switch with AUTO function on Golf 7.5 2017 with halogen headlights and led daytime running lights.
after installation coded everything works fine ...
but unfortunately I find myself with left and right parklight not active error and low beam not active.
also in the various attempts to fix these errors I have created others,
I would like some help with the exact front and rear headlight codings,
my Golf 7.5 without light package with halogen low and high beams, and front and rear LEDs as daytime running lights with arrows and stop LEDs and position with photo diffuser.

Hello! i got the Same problem, i hate that only the outer DRLs are on and not the inner ones to. i have Golf GTE 2020 MK7.5 with the same lights as @datboy and want both DRLs on, how can i do that, thats why i bought the OBD11 and i cant do anything on the apps on this car beside the seatbelt chime off....
Hello, is there any way how to make both Ls running while using DRL? I have static LED headlights and only outer L is running as DRL. Thank you. Hello Florent, I don't think there is any difference between de headlight units used in Spain than in the Netherlands (where I live). I have gathered all the information I could find about the 7.5 headlights and this is what I found. As you can see, the partnumber is different, so I think it is all hardware difference.  |
