Hi experts and enthusiasts,
I'm in the market for brand new 2020 Tiguan AllSpace (MK2) and trying to understand what OBDeleven (and long-coding in general?) could do for me.
If I understand the concept correctly it would:
It's #2 that I'm particularly curious about.
I live in Belgium, and was looking at ordering the 'Platinum' trim, which is the highest spec trim available. It comes standard with things like:
However, there are a few 'options' left that are sold separately, even though based on the features it's been fitted with 'standard' I would assume it already has all the hardware (camera's & radars) and software it needs to also do:
Would OBDeleven allow me to 'unlock' those?
Or could I possibly even consider going down one trim level ('Highline') and pay for only a few specific options that would give me the hardware (camera's & radars) needed to unlock the some of these safety/function features myself using long-coding?
Apologies for the noob questions. Just trying to wrap my head around the possibilities that OBDeleven potentially unlocks and if in the grand scheme of things it would allow me to save a few bucks.

If I understand the concept correctly it would:
- Allow me to fiddle around with some of the more basic setting, like permanently disabling start/stop or get rid of the seatbelt warning beeps.
- But would also enable me to 'activate' some new features that lay dormant in the car (hardware/software available, but simply 'locked' by the manufacturer as payable option?)
It's #2 that I'm particularly curious about.
I live in Belgium, and was looking at ordering the 'Platinum' trim, which is the highest spec trim available. It comes standard with things like:
- Adaptive Cruise Control (ACC)
- Rear View/Area View/Park Assist-Pilot
- Active Lighting System
- Active Info Display
- Front Assist & City Emergency Brake
- Lane Assist
- Pedestrian Recognition

- Trailer Assist (€ 315) (am planning to get the car with a tow bar)
- Side Assist / Rear Traffic Alert / Traffic Jam Assist (€ 490)
- Dynamic Road Sign (€ 120)
