Apparently enabling auto lock is different on my 2019 GTI than it is on the 2017-2018 mk7.5 ones.
When I go into long coding there is no entry for "Locking for door slamming" under Access StartSystem.
This video shows how to do it on a 2018 R
Please help??

I'm looking a 2019 GTI in my garage, the start system interface is different (3Q0959435L) with many more options than the 2017/2018 module (5Q0959435), in the Long Coding of the Module B7 Access Startsystem Interface, did you try to enable "easy_close" option? Did you check if some Adaptions have a name relative to some closing options?
I think this Touareg have the same new Access Startsystem Interface module, but they activated auto unlock (I don't know how to do it), not the most useful auto lock (that all the French cars with keyless have).

Very dangerous that you approach to the car and the car unlocks.
I don’t see when he goes away the car lock it.

My sisters Renault locks and unlocks at a certain distance, I know she can’t leave the keys by the front door as it’s not far enough away that it can lock,

I didn't try the easy_close option. I presumed it was for the soft close options where the car finishes closing the door for you once you get the door touching the latch. Also this is my first go at OBD programming so I was little cautious.
I looked for other options having to do with locking but nothing jumped out.

I think you are right.
What are my options going forward? Auto lock is pretty much the main reason I bought the OBDeleven in the first place.

I have two key holders that prevent the key from being detected. they are purchased online by Internet. From Germany I think so

Looked for this the other day on my 19 R and it wasn't there. App didn't work either, though I assume it would have been changing the same no-longer-existing setting. I'll post the backup when I get home in a few hours.

Looks like I won't be posting my backup. The app wouldn't let me email it. It just said "generating log" for a while, then gave me a couple of options that started with 'com.' (can't remember the rest), neither of which did anything.

Okay, I found out how to do it.
B7 - Start system interface Adaptations - internal_passive_entry_exit_byte_1 (search for 'pass' in lowercase or it might not show up) Activate 'passive_exit_door_slam_lock' Save changes - enter code 20103 if it asks.
Then on the infotainment screen: Car > Settings > Reset > Opening and Closing
