Hi everyone, I have a MK7 Golf R and am looking to open my Exhaust Flaps through OBD coding. This is the coding I followed: Go to Engine Control Module (#1), then Coding in the submenu. Navigate to Byte 9, then you will see Bit 2 in a checked state. Uncheck it, hit the checkbox at the bottom to save changes and done. From nikhsub1 on Vortex: dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/2312108/Golf%20R/exhaustvalvesvag.pnghowever I keep getting the "Function Cancelled, marginal conditions have not been met" also, my Byte 4 is default 12 not 32 like is shown in the image. I even tried just using the app and still wasn't able to get it to work. Anyone have any ideas? Thanks Nabil

Did you check if the Bluetooth connection to the OBDEleven module was still active?
Had that error before and the connection dropped off for some reason.

I ended up getting it to work with the app. Now i'm wondering if I have to pay credits again if i want to close and reopen the flaps again depending on how much extra noise i want that day

Hi fine that you bring it to getting work on your car. Every time you use an app you need to pay credits again. That is the price for using the fast apps. You can do it with long coding that is for free. You can getbfree coins every day by watching videos and this shit. So that is the proce for beeing lazy :-D

I believe once you use the app, if you go back into make a change it is available and you are not charged credits a second time. Perhaps a mod could confirm this though.

I assume that every one here is aware that the engine should not be running when this tweak is implemented (just ignition switched-on, but engine not started)

So what preps do I need to perform prior to doing this?
Do I change to Race mode then switch off engine? Then ignition on only before implementing this byte 9 bit 2?

I have successfully done this today. In case anyone was wondering (like I was) what the best procedure is I.... 1) started the engine and selected race mode 2) turned off the engine 3) turned the ignition back on (didn't start the engine) 4) performed the mod above. All four exhausts now emit lovely warm gasses regardless of what mode I am in

I have all 4 exhausts open in all modes using the above method, not just S.

For me after repeating the steps above, it would not work into putting the DSG into nuetral (After S mode)
