Hi,
I tried to activate the TSR on my Ateca which has the lane assist camera. I first tried the App and did it but every time the car started up it comes up with "Error: Dynamic Road Sign Display", it reads the signs fine.
I have since bought pro and been in and done it manually with the same result. I have followed the following guide and I still get the same error:
Access the A5 module and go to Coding , Bytes mode .
In Byte 16 we activate bit 4 .
We accept the change and then access the 5F module , adaptation.
We enter the Adaptation option Car_Function_Adaptations_Gen2 and activate the following parameters :menu_display_road_sign_identification and menu_display_road_sign_identification_over_threshold_high
We accept the change and enter the Adaptation option Car_Function_List_BAP_Gen2, where we activate the following parameter: traffic_sign_recognition_0x21
Now we look for the option traffic_sign_recognition_0x21_msg_bus and we give it the Databus Infotainment value (the text may vary depending on the language, but it is what it says is the Infotainment bus)
We accept the change and, finally, we access the module 17
Inside Coding, Bytes mode, in Byte 5 we activate bit 2.
As soon as we confirm the change, we will see that the compass in the FIS has moved to the lower left zone, leaving the upper central zone free in the FIS.
I recommend restarting the Infotainment (press +10 seconds the power button) so that the configuration option under Car-> Assistance to the driver is refreshed.
Any idea whats wrong? or what I have missed?

When signs are recognized and displayed, it's the infotainment not broadcasting road information.
Do not tamper around with the first 4 bytes in an A5 in a camera with a part number starting with 3Q0. (Byte 1 Bit 0 is for old 5Q0 cameras), you might loose you calibration data! For 3Q0 16/4 is totally fine. When you are having a 3Q0 camera you won't find much of the adaptions diogo posted anyways.
Check 24/7 in 5F (predictive route data) in manual coding or byte_24_psd in standard long coding - should be enabled.
Do you have navigation? What part number does 5F have? MIB1low devices are unable to provide route data, resulting in "Road sign detection limited". No way to fix this.

I pretty sure the Ateca has the 3Q0 camera should the following be enabled as at current it's not?
Controller A5 (Front / front view camera)
07 - Coding
Byte 1
Bit 0 Enable - "01 traffic sign recognition (FTE) active"
I will check the part number tomorrow when I'm back. Also it would be helpful what the app changed?
I'm also not getting the limited notification I'm getting the one in my post.

1/0 is not for 3Q0 and 3QD cameras. Do not change this bit!
It's mislabeled. The first 4 bytes are used for brand and car type.
Can you delete all faults of 17 and A5 and see if there are some faults which can't be deleted

Here is error codes and the backup of the current three module states, TSR is currently not coded and the car works fine with no errors on the dash. What I am looking for is anything thats wrong here before I start even coding TSR?
17 has no errors, A5 Error that wont clear:

Hi, finally took the plunge and bought an OBD eleven (standard version. I turned on TSR on my Ateca by using the one click app option. It said it was successful and It has given me the option in driver assistance menu but all I get is Error Dynamic road sign display and don’t get the traffic signs.
Can anyone please help?

Nope I never got that one fault to clear, the car drives fine and gives me no warnings.
Every guide I tried didn't work and resulted in the same error everytime. My friend who is an ex vw tech had a look and couldn't see why it wouldn't work.

I have tried to activate TSR with the app (non-pro, no long codeing). It shows a symbol with an hourglass to the right in my display. I then changed it to OFF but the error remains. Please help!

What car do you have (need year as well) and are you sure you have the correct hardware to enable it.
I know you need the right sort of camera (supporting lane assist from memory) and the correct sort of sat nav system.

Sorry, I panicked. I have an Ateca MY2020 Style Business Intense 1.0. I have lane assist so I have the right hardware I believe.
The error is gone. When I start the car it shows a car and radar symbol with an hourglass. It dissapears while driving. Maybe it was there before?

Hi,
today I activated TSR on my Ateca 2019 with lane assist.
I can see the signs on my virtual cockpit, the car reads them correctly from the road, but when I turn on the car, I receive an alert message "Error: Dynamic Road Sign Display".
How can I get rid of this annoying message?

Hi I have a Seat Tarraco 2.0tdi Excelance package and I have activated the traffic sign recignition however after 30 minutes of driving its stops recognizing signs. When I set it up to road sign fusion (in order to use the signs in the infotainment) it doesn't give anything. So I have put this to road sign detection. Now it only shows the signs detected and the signs from the map are not shown anywhere. Even so as I said after 30 min of driving it doesn't recognize the signs anymore, it stays on the last sign recognized. I have the message "road sign detection limited" all the time in my car status. Can you please upload a full code for activating TSR? Thanks 1/0 is not for 3Q0 and 3QD cameras. Do not change this bit! It's mislabeled. The first 4 bytes are used for brand and car type. Do not put it to road sign detection. That will result in badpy behavior. It is an development setting not ment for any final use.
Can you check if "PSD" in the infotainments byte 24 is set? Looks like psd info is missing in your case

Just checked psd info is activated in 5F byte 24. Currently i drive it on road sign fusion and first it says "no road sign detected" for 2 minutes and then changes to no data for tjis area. Give me your email I will send you my settings.

This is my setup:
RECOGNITION OF TRAFFIC SIGNALS
Before proceeding, it is highly recommended to make backups of the modules to be touched, which are: A5, 5F and 17
We access the A5 module and go to Coding , Bytes mode . (Front Sensor Driver Assist)
A5 > Adaptation > road sign set to fusion (when set to road sign detected, it starts detecting signs but it freezws after a while and doesn't detect anymore). In road sign fuaion doesn't detect anything!
In Byte 16 we activate bit 4.
We accept the change and then access the 5F module , adaptation.
We enter the Adaptation option Car_Function_Adaptations_Gen2 and activate the following parameters :
menu_display_road_sign_identification and menu_display_road_sign_identification_over_threshold_high
We accept the change and enter the option Car_Function_List_BAP_Gen2 Adaptation , where we activate the following parameter:
traffic_sign_recognition_0x21
Now we look for the option traffic_sign_recognition_0x21_msg_bus and we give it the Databus Comfort value
We accept the change and, finally, we access the module 17 (dash board)
F5 long coding byte 24 bit 6 is deactivated and bit 7 is acivated. (I have tried with bit 6 and 7 both activated no change)
Inside Coding, Bytes mode, in Byte 5 we activate bit 2.

Your manual is correct, so I think the coding should be fine.
Coding errors result in different Problems.
But it looks to me like you are located in an area with no PSD data (and therefore no traffic sings) in the map. I admit I do not have knowledge where traffic sign recognotion is working and where not.
Does Seat allow you to purchase TSR from factory in your country?
Probably updating the map data could help.
Another last idea to figure out if your map includes traffic sign data is to check the following:
When disabling all TSR regarding codings, but activate in 5F byte 24 bit 6 (VZA), do traffic signs show up in the infotainment(not in the cluster)

Yes my map has traffic signs included which were there before I made the coding for traffic sign recognition. And when I return everything back to normal they reapear.only in the infotainment system. They are not present on the dashboard. The problem for me is:
- even though on road sign recognition mode (not road sign fusion mode) I get a read of the trafgic signs I even get 2-3 signs shown on my dash board at once. However after 20-30 minutes this freezes and starts reading again after turning of and on the car again. If you can help me with that I would be happy. I don't need the signs from the map system, but I want the signs to be read all the time without freezing. Thanks
