On my 2012 MK6 Golf When stopping I wish have the radio remain on until until the key is removed from the ignition. When listening using Bluetooth when the engine stops you have to turn the radio back on and wait for the connection to re-establish. I tried using Vag-Com Using VCDS 17 Instruments, Coding 07, Long Coding 07, Long Coding Helper, Bit4-7 changed to 10 Country Rest of World But this did not work Has anyone had any success with this Thanks

Since the MK5 and 6 use CAN, that would be a tricky fix as this was "corrected" in the newer controllers to resolve the battery drain issue.
The old-school workaround would be to manually cut or disconnect the radio's +12V switched input from the ignition and connect it to a constant +12V supply. However, you will need to remember to switch off your radio after use so as not to drain your battery.

Has anyone had any success with this Thanks I just got confirmation from Delphi that their headunits were intentionally designed in this manner (as opposed to the Bosch models) to combat the potential of the battery drain bug in gateway modules prior to revision "L". I have this issue with my Delphi version for the RCD-510 when I didn't have it with the Phillips Premium 7 headunit when I could switch the key to the OFF position and the radio would stay on until I actually pulled the key out of the ignition. The action would be to wire your radio to an uns-witched power source (its just one wire) and then turn the radio off when desired so as not to drain the battery

My radio turns off once the engine is turned off, UNLESS I am in a Bluetooth call and then it stays on until either the phone call ends or the driver's door is opened.
How does it do that?

My Delphi RCD-510 switches off during the middle of a Bluetooth stream if I was to switch the engine (ignition off).
What I'd like you to do (for me), is to do a complete backup of your adaptation channels, not just your long coding. You would then look to see which channels have interesting values in them.

I have an aftermarket head unit in my 2014 Jetta, and it does this, stays on until key is out. I like being able to listen to music while the whole ignition isn't on which drains the battery even more. With my aftermarket head unit from crutchfield, it came with this little black box to wire in behind the radio into the factory harness and program, which gives the aftermarket head unit a signal to turn on, since there's no turn on wire on the OEM head unit. It stays on until the key is pulled out. Don't know if this helps, just thought I'd share.

Can you post the link, or part number from crutchfield for that black box?

Axxess XSVI-9003-NAV Interface Harness
Google that, and click on the crutchfield link. I think you may have to use an aftermarket head unit with it. The product and information is there on crutchfield so research away!

Help me.
same problem happened to me. I think I did something wrong and it happened after that. When you turn off the ignition, the radio turns off. The radio used to turn off when I pulled the key from the ignition. 2010 highline golf 6. I tried germany and all other countries with long coding on the instrument panel and it doesn't work.
