I used the “Windows function from remote” app to enable the convenience key opening/closing all windows. It enabled the MMI setup menu, and I ticked off all windows and sunroof. It closes all the windows and sunroof just fine, but when I try to OPEN them, all the windows open, but the sunroof just pops up but doesn’t slide back in the track to actually open up. I tried unchecking the windows and just having sunroof enabled in menu, but same thing: closes fine, will only pop up sunroof. Any ideas? I’m familiar with long coding if there’s something else I need to look at.

I have a 2016 A3 E-tron (8V1 hybrid)

Found it. I didn’t have any of the Long Code items in central electronics mentioned in various places, but I did have:

Sunroof Opening With Remote Control
Select Control unit 09 (Central Electrics)
Security access
Security Code: 31347
Adaptation
Select (9) Access control 2-SAD Richtung Komfortoeffnen > Open
