AFAIK the Audi A8 is built on a MLB platform -I think. The cars that are the subject of this particular forum (like the mk7 Golf, and Audi A3) are biult on a MQB platform. Very different CAN network topologies and very different adaptation channel arrangements in their software architecture
This is a long way of suggesting that the comfort windows tweak that is described here might not be compatible with your car - alas

PS: If you want the facility to operate with KESSY do this:
- Search for access control 2 (as above)
- Select Kessy komfort schilessen and set to active
Just adding that on my 2017 GTI Sport (US) has Kessy Komfort oeffnen & Kessy komfort schilessen under Keyless access and start authorization

Thanks for this. Does anyone know of a way to disable the sunroof from opening and closing with the rest of the side windows? Cheers.

Hello, I know this is an old post. I am new to OBDeleven and I am trying to make this function work. I am wondering if I just don't have a proper understanding and I was hoping for some help. I did all of this... Select Central Electrics (address hex09) Select Security Access Enter the magic number 31347 Select Adaptation Search Access Control 2 (it's the third entry from the top of the list) and select. Note: in newer vehicles, search for ZV Komfort Select comfort opening and set to active Select comfort closing and set to active Select funk komfort oeffnen and set to active Select funk komfort schilessen and set to active Select Menuesteuerung komfortbedienung einstellbar and set to adjustable (this step places a panel in the MENU screen that allows this function to be enabled/disabled)
Then I also did this..
Search for access control 2 (as above) Select Kessy komfort schilessen and set to active Then I did this...
Make sure that the windows are fully closed (i.e. in the up-position) Press and hold-down the down button for at least 3 seconds after the windows are fully open (i.e. in the down-position Press and hold down the up button for at least 3 seconds after the windows are fully closed (i.e. in the up-position) Repeat a few times, then try comfort/convenience opening
I also set the convenience opening in the menu on the radio and set it to all windows.
If I understand this feature correctly, I should be able to hold the lock button on the remote and the car will lock and windows will roll up, and I should be able to hold unlock and car unlocks and windows roll down. I believe this should also work by holding he outside door handle because I set the Kessy komfort schilessen and set to active.
I have redone all of these at least 3 times and I cannot make this feature work. The car is a 2015 GTI. I cannot figure out what I am doing wrong. Does anyone have any advice for the noob?

Reads ok at first. Did you press the remote control button up or down long enough? With my Golf it takes 1-2 seconds before something happens even though it has already been locked. And then you have to keep it pressed until everything is closed.
Did you activate it in the MMI menu?

New here. Just got a 2017 GTI and I'm trying to get the windows down with the remote. When using my OBDELEVEN it says "not supported " for the windows remote access and I did the coding as said in the original post and I'm still getting nothing.

hmm......... You will need to explain what you mean by "when using my OBDELEVEN it says "not supported " for the windows remote access". Sounds like you are trying to use a one-click-app, which is very different to my manual coding instructions

Hey there! I legit came across your page/account last night, made an account this morning just because your instructions are so helpful! - I see you were recent about a year ago so I don’t know if you’ll see this. Hope all is well! - is there anyway to code the car to roll up all windows from my window button? Thanks!

dv52 (Australia)Hi! Sorry just came across this thread and would like to ask about something curious that’s happening in my car, to see if you can think about what could be happening. I’ve just purchased a Skoda Scala facelift 2024 and since a few days on the MyŠkoda App it always shows that the passenger window is open when it’s completely closed. I decided to run some live data and realised that the window when closing remains 3% open (the rest of the windows do close so the way to 0%). I’ve tried resetting the windows pressing the elevators and the confort function works well but it doesn’t solve the issue. Another thing that caught my attention is that the passenger window displays Before upper stop “Inactive” when the rest of widows do show this as active. Any idea on how to get this solved? Thanks!

Hi,
Have you ever re-trained the window regulators (see operating instructions)?

Hi, Have you ever re-trained the window regulators (see operating instructions)? Hi!! Thanks a lot for the insight! Where can I have a look at this? I’m aware that you can readapt functions from OBD11 but I’m not very familiar with this operation. Don’t know if you could kindly elaborate more on how it’s done? Thanks a lot in advance!

This calibration is not a function of OBD11, but a function of the vehicle itself. You can find this in the vehicle's operating instructions.
Carry out the following for each window regulator individually:
-Window in lower position
-Press and hold the “Up” button continuously for another 2-3 seconds, even if the window appears to be up
-The same applies to “downward”
This will retrain the window regulator electronics.
I hope it helps you.

falcon thanks a lot for the insight! Yes I’ve tried this operation again but unfortunately the window continues to stay open by 3% (yet still it appears to be completely closed) The comfort function works as expected. It’s true that I’ve noticed that the driver side window (and both the rear windows too) apart from going up all the way to 0% it displays that the “before upper stop: active” in the live data via OBD11 and the front passenger side window (which is the one giving all the hassle) displays “before upper stop: inactive”. Don’t know if there’s anything else I can try to solve this issue…

Did you actually continue to hold the button for 2-3 seconds without interruption after closing/opening (no offense)?
Sometimes the windows don't go all the way up or down because of a swollen seal or dirt.
Otherwise I don't know what else can be done other than asking Skoda.

I know you’re trying to help out! Yes I tried holding the buttons (even tried more than 15 seconds). It’s true that the operations manual only states to press and hold the up button for a couple seconds till you hear the click and that works! But the window doesn’t seam to go all the way up (according to the live data on OBD11). I also cleaned the seals and added some liquid silicone just in case… still no luck. It’s like as if the window forgot its way back to the top.

You haven’t got short drop enabled have you? Hi! I’m not sure what this option is, but haven’t coded anything via OBD11 just use it for simple diagnosis and live data.

danyaero , no problem. I just wanted to make sure you tried everything trivial. If you look in OBD11 under basic settings for Stg 42/52, you will find the window regulators, e.g.: "Reset adaptation" After that, “re-learning” (as described above) would be necessary. I haven't used this myself yet. As far as I researched the wiring diagram, there are no limit switches for the window regulators; Everything about speed and current consumption is recognized by the control unit. Whether you want to try it is your decision. But it might be worth another try.

Hi! The access code for central electrics is not working for me! Would you please help me which code should I use? My car is 2022 NMS passat limited.

arkanwarwar : hi. One of the real failures of this forum is that the country of origin of forum members is not disclosed. On a forum that promotes membership from very part of this lonely blue planet and on a forum where the cars that are the subject of discussion vary depending on the local market in the country of sale - this is an appalling deficiency (IMO, of course). But, this is the way this forum operates and we must accept the shortfall!!
OK - rant over!! The reason for my introductory rant is because it's relevant to your simple statement "My car is 2022 NMS passat limited". Although my knowledge of Passats ain't good, I understand that late model NMS (short for "New Midsize Sedan") cars are different depending on whether the vehicle is built for the Chinese market. Again my understanding is that it's ONLY NMS model vehicles built in 2022 for the Chinese market that have a MQB platform chassis. This is important because the security code 31347 for the central electrics module in cars that are the subject of this part of the forum have a MQB platform.
So, if this MY22 NMS Passat is a North America Region (NAR) model - it will have a PQ46 platform build and the security code will be different! I don't know the appropriate security code for PQ46 platform cars - maybe ask on the correct part of the forum?
