Hi I wonder if anyone has any experience of this. However I try I can’t recode my c6 module and get the warning (31) function not available. It is a new module that came as part of a kit to retro fit a high line rear camera. The car is a 2015 VW CC r line. At the moment it has the code 8388607 and I believe the code should be 0020008. It seems odd to me that the code is so far away from being plausible.

Most high line cameras I’ve read about being fitted to the golfs haven’t had the programming put in them, and the owners have needed to go to a Vw dealer to get it programmed on odis (or the one that talks to the servers in Germany), could it be the same?

vwjap thanks for the reply. It has coding but I can't change it, maybe there is something else that needs doing for it to be coded I hadn't thought of that. The idea of having to go to a main dealer cap in hand seems a great pity but maybe that is all I can do. I bought the obdeleven because it has a simple app to enable a reverse camera, clearly it either doesn't work or only works on some configurations. clearly this should be explained!

All none VW programs don’t do what the VW dealers do, some things need to go through German servers so they work, or someone needs a flash tool to reprogram stuff, there are quite a few levels to programming, and vcds/obdeleven are only level 2 out of 5/6

Oh and sometimes function not available can be down to a low battery or the program data needing to be deleted

Did you get this sorted?
I have had a number of occasions where I have been unable to confirm changes, getting the error message (31)function not available for no obvious reason.
My solution via Tech Support which has worked every time for me is to do the following:
Enter the control module you need to make the changes in.
Access - Advanced Identification
Access all the boxes and scrolled through all the data.
I couldn't see anything that would help to identify the reason why I couldn't make changes so I closed it down and re entered Adaptations.
I then made my changes and they were accepted straight away.
This has happened a number of times and each time it has happened, I have carried out the above procedure and the changes have then been accepted.
If you have the Pro version you can access it all the time.
If you don't have the Pro version you will have to use 5 credits to access it.
Hope this works.
