I have successfully fitted the external sound actuator(attached to exhaust) along with correct modules and original wiring
The exhaust shows on my car scan but does not activate on sports mode as it should

I have it installed as standard in my GTD, but honestly I do not notice any difference when connecting the Sport mode.

Hi Thank you for your response If you activate eco mode and then sports mode you will see the eco mode does not have the sound actuator active This is the same for the internal sound actuator based near the windscreen |

ari: thanks for the scan results. It all looks OK - the hexCO module has been registered with the CAN Gateway and there are no errors. Only thing that I can suggest is that you check the single adaptation channel in the hexCO module which is Engine noise generation actuator volume - is it set to 100 %? Here's a screen-shot from another diagnostic cable (thanks waggers on the golfmk7 forum) - hope the administrators here don't send me to the naughty corner for posting a competitor screen-shot!  |

My hunch (and it's nothing more than a guess) is that whilst the hexC0 module has been registered correctly on the CAN network (hence it appears properly on your scan report), the Gateway module @ address hex19 still needs to be told to start accepting communications with the new device. As I said, this is complete guess - but try this: - Go to the Gateway module @ address hex19
- Go to Security access and enter the magic number 20103
- Go to adaptation and search for Installation list; specified installations
- Select Actuator For Exterior Noise - it should have a setting of not coded
- change to coded and then press the green tick
