As I am going through my second childhood (mid-life crisis according to my wife),I have just acquired a 2007 TT convertible in petrol blue, and immediately thereafter an OBD eleven hoping to: 1 Close windows with the key fob. 2 Have sound when locking and unlocking 3 Auto fold wing mirrors (has electrically folding mirrors) 4 Have nearside wing mirror dip when reverse selected.
Unfortunately none of these options are available as apps. I am a total novice when it comes to coding, I struggle with the TV and don't have a handy nine year old! Can anyone please tell me if it is possible to achieve the above with OBD eleven Pro coding and where I might find out how to do so (I have 'Googled' without success!)

Hi Thirsty, I tried your suggestion but unfortunately it hasn't worked. To be sure I reverted to the original settings and tried for a second time, but no joy. Whilst I was in the coding section I tried to activate the window closing/opening function.... that did not work either! It is probably me doing something wrong but for the life of me I don't know what it might be. I am sure I followed your instructions to the letter and got the 'coding accepted' notification. Any suggestions would be gratefully received.

Ok the horn sound when locking and unlocking isn't working for me either maybe it's because i'm from germany i don't know. Sadly i haven't found any instructions for the other things you wrote in your first post. Maybe you can use instructions from other cars but i don't know which cars.

Hi Thirsty, Mine is a Japanese spec car so maybe that is the issue? It seems, from what I read, that some of the functions are similar to those on earlier Golf/Bora/ Jetta models, I shall look into it. I also read about Adaptations being a way to change settings but there is nothing listed when you go into it, just a request for an adaptation number?? Thanks for your help, if I find a way to get the horn to sound I will post it.

From what I can gather the dipping nearside wing mirror when reverse gear is selected requires a different mirror motor and the addition of potentiometers, and is quite expensive I think manual dipping will have to be the way, at least for the time being.

Code changes and modifications are dependent on the coding programmed into the specific vehicle. This is true for the Audi TT Mk2 as well. Early (pre face lift) TT's don't have the same coding options as later (face lift) models. Also, if the car isn't already set up with specific features or options (motorized mirrors, heated seats, etc.) the coding options won't exist. For more information you might want to check out the Audi TT Forum UK which has a lot of information on VCDS coding. This will help help explain the coding options and features so you can get a better understanding of the coding structre. As with any OBD device, it's best to run an Auto Scan first so you can get the OEM codeing BEFORE you start changing things.
