Hi
I've just picked up my new Golf R 7.5 . I lease the car so have already had a 7.5 prior to the new regs last year.
On the previous model I was able to get the flaps to open permanently using the Engine / Long coding, byte 9 bit 2 option.
However, when I now go in I get an error 31 saying function not available. One thing I did notice was the page says bit numbers and not Exhaust valves.
This car is also keyless start, not sure if this has any effect.
Current process
Start car Put in race mode Select DSG (S1) Turn off engine (radio still in) Plug in OBD11 Press start to turn back on (not starting car, although the S1 turns to D1) Engine Long coding Byte 9 Bit 2 Put gear in P Long press 'tick' Get error
Maybe its me, but beginig to think its changed due to the updates VW have had to make to exhaust system
Any advice welcomed
Steve

I am having the same error (31 function not available) when trying byte 9 bit 2 within engine long coding. I likewise have a FL Golf R (300BHP) fitted with the optional akrapovic titanium exhaust from the factory. Any kind of help to this problem would be greatly appreciated!
