Hi, Not much working on the 19 model unfortunately even with boonnet/hood open.
Main reason for purchase of OBDEleven was for auto lock with keyless. Run app and it says successful but when leaving vehicle unlocked and taking keyless keys out it doesn't auto lock. Am I missing something?
So far all I have working is needle sweep, oil temp enabled, and auto stop/start disabled.
Anyone else have any luck?
Thanks

Also, what's with the "hood / bonnet open" comment, is that a known workaround to get this to work?

Hello all.
I have try to configure this option via long coding and the obdeleven applications (easy one, the one you pay the 10 credits). It has been turn on the option but it still doesn't work. Any other way to make it work? Really appreciate any help.
Best regards

The other way to make it work is to do the tweak manually like this: - Open the bonnet as advised by Thirsty above
- Connect to the OBD11 dongle and go to the control module screen that shows the modules installed in your car on the left-side
- Scroll-down until you see Acc/Start Auth. (it has the number 05 in a colored circle at the top right of the picture) - select this module
- Select Long coding
- Using the side-arrows navigate to Byte 2
- place a tick in Bit 4 (it's the software switch for Locking for door slamming )
- press the tick in the green circle to confirm the change

Hello. Thanks for the message sent regarding the keyless go auto door close. I have try to do the long coding si you said. 1st thing is that on the system I need to perform the long coding, it's not represented with the number 5. I can find the module for the system and I can check mark the bit as you said. All good but it will still not work. Do I need to do any adaptation? Thanks a lot for your help.

Joaquinbcn: hmm....... my instructions are EXACTLY the same as those that thirsty posted in his link. So they should work. Please post-up the full long-code value for your hex05 module after you made the changes. Don

Hello. Thanks for your help first of all. As a first mention, whenever I access my modules there is not shown the acc/start auth under number 5. What my car has is the: start system interface number B7. The coding on Byte 2 is the next one: 03 0C 1C 16 20 (bite 4 already marked). With this configuration the car will still not close by itself. Many thanks for all the help given. Regards

^^^^ hmm......."B7" is the hex address of the module - 05 is how VCDS reports the address and "B7" is the way OBD11 reports the module address - it doesn't matter for your task.
But your long code has 2 x more Bytes than I had expected - what type car is this and what country are you from?

joaquinbcn: OK, your car may have a newer Acc/Start Auth module installed - the unit that I had assumed was fitted to your car has only 3 x Bytes. If you follow my instructions below - do you have "Locking for door slamming" in the last screenshot? Note: if you can't access the last picture - press This will toggle the long code software switches between the byte/bit screen and the descriptive screen - then scroll down Don

dv52:
Hello. I have checked the list and there's no "Locking for door slaming" function available in my list.
Thanks

dv52 (Australia)" Thanks for the reply... Honestly i'm not very good on this as you can maybe imagine... When you suggest to check in adaptations, what exactly you mean? I have try to play a little bit with this part but without success since many times I don't understand the description of the adaptation (since many are written in german). Thanks

^^^^^ OK, my bad - I often assume too much!!
So - as a general rule, control modules like the hexB7 module have 2 x different programming mediums that diagnostic devices like OBD11 can access; long-code and adaptation channels.
It's easy to think of long-code as consisting of a bunch of simple software switches which can be either ON, or OFF. Although it's a bit of an over simplification, long code switches are generally related to different options that are available to cars on the manufacturing line; the switches are switched-ON/OFF depending on what features are installed in the car.
Separately, modules also have Adaptation channels. Again, it's an over-simplification, but these channels relate more to the operating parameters of the module (i.e stuff like how bright the environment must be before the headlights auto switch-on). Adaptation channels can be a simple switch, or they can also contain "variables" like a value in a range between one and one hundred. A Golf mk7 can have upward of a total of about 5,000 adaptation channels in its CAN network depending on how many modules are fitted and some modules like hex09 can have nearly 2,000 channels!!
You can access both of these programming types in OBD11 by selecting Coding, or Adaptations
Yes, the names of many Channels and long-code switches are in German for obvious reasons - so you will need to use a web translator. But ain't much that can be done about this - it just takes time and perseverance, alas.
For your particular version of hexB7 - I would carefully look for the term "slamming", or its German equivalence in either long code, or adaptation
Good luck
Don

dv52 (Australia)Hey Don!! Good news. I have been able to make it work finally. They way I was able to accomplished is the next one. I entered in adaptations, went to INTERNAL PASSIVE ENTRY EXIT BYTE 1, selected PASSIVE EXIT DOOR SLAM LOCK and ACTIVATED (using code 20103). I tested the system and the car will automatically close by itself. Thanks again for all your help during this days. Regards to all and hope this can help the rest of the forum users. Joaquin

dv52 (Australia)Hey Don, i have a question for you.. Now that I have the system working, is there any way to modify the time it take the car to close the doors? Right now the car will close by itself basically immediately after i close my door (driver). Is there any way to have a few seconds after closing? Or by proximity of the key.. Thanks!!!!! Joaquin

^^^^ Joaquin: well done !!!! Short answer is No - I don't have access to the adaptation channel database in your car. You might need to experiment
