I am stuck on trying to get seat heat retention. When I go to hvac (8) it wont load data. Think it states description data not found. However I have done coding in other areas like central electronics. Am I doing something wrong? Tried several times. Thanks.

^^^^^^ Nichola/Lauisa: Hello to you both! I've not tried this tweak, which I understand allows the seat heating values to be remembered for the next ignition cycle. I suspect that your problem lies in the equipment level in your cars. I would assume that for the function to work, the car must have the seat memory modules installed. You could check the coding screen for the Driver/Passenger Door control modules to confirm that you have this module (see screen shot below) Don

hmm........... not sure what the problem is in your case. I just went through the process on my mk7 and it works OK. See my screen shots below - you don't even need a security code. At what stage in the process do you have the problem?

Hi Don ! Your french is very good too ! ;-) I tried again and, in fact, i have a message "Check Network Connection". Impossible to connect to this module (ok for anothers). Perhaps it requires very good connection with lot of data to transfer. Many thanks.

The fact that you were able to produce the screen shot in your reply above means that the CAN Gateway module has recognised that the car has an Air Conditioning module installed! So it appears that the OBD messages in the car are OK. The error message "check network" suggests that the problem lies with the internet protocols - rather than with the control module in the car. Try sending an email to OBD11 admin if the problem persists.

Hi Don,
I tried again this morning, and have now the message "No data found" like Nicholascanada, just for Climatronic again.
Don't worry, others possibilities are ok (just not for rain closing despite my many many tests ! My Golf 7 Variant (july 2016) will not be compatible).
