I know of two codes for the dashboard channel: 20103 and 25327. While these work in 2015 MK7 cars they don't work in 2016 MK7 cars.
If anyone discovers a new code for 2016 cars please let me know.

Why not try it and then tell us the code for the dashboard module on a my16 mk7!!
Yes, OBD11 has its own "login-finder" facility which is accessed via the security code panel for the control module. I've not had any success with the ODB11 facility myself, but's very similar to the same facility on VCP cable (which I have used successfully in the past).
What you need to do is to first enter a known security code as the "seed" and then press the search panel. It may take a while for the process to complete because the software may have to force-poll up to 100,000 candidate numbers through the control module (security codes are 5 digit numbers). So make sure that the engine is running, or that you have a good battery charger connected to the car.

PS: Here's OBD11's video on "login-finder"

Hi Don,
I got the same issue with my MY16 when trying to apply your curves.
Ill try and suss out the security code, I'm sick of struggling to see my dials during the day.
What's a good seed I can use?

If neither 20103, or 25327 are accepted by the control module - it's pointless exercise (alas)!!

Thanks Don. I'll borrow my neighbors battery charger and try it. I hear 2017 Vag cars will get 6 digit security codes!

I realize this tread is old but.....any luck finding the dashboard channel assess code? (for newer MK7s) Guessing...no..since I haven't found it on various forums/web searches.
If I understand correctly their is no hope ...since the two known codes (20103 and 25327) will not be accepted as seeds for the login finder function in the obdeleven app??
