I have a 2012 Tiguan and the primary key is able to unlock all doors with single press. When I use the 2nd key it acts like how it is from factory where I have to press it twice to unlock all other doors.
Is there something I need to do to copy the features to the 2nd key?

Hello, every key store it's own setting form MFD, you have to insert your 2nd key into ignition and go to your MFD and set settings like first key. Good luck

Good luck For my model year I had to use long coding to activate since it was not an option in the MFD. Does that mean I should "deactivate / activate" using the 2nd key?

Yes mkiv18t first insert 2nd key in ignition, and go to long coding and activate. That should work. Good luck
